Hi everyone,

Thanks for all your kind comments and welcome to the group.  I do consider myself a fine scale modeler (as Art V. will attest).  My layout is a freelance railroad and I really enjoy building kits and scratchbuilding too.

Here are a few more of the traveling hopper while it visited my layout.

I know we lost some pictures of layouts from Minnesota when our server crashed.  Mike, Seth, Art, can you take a look and see if we can restore the pictures. I remember commenting on the pictures from some layouts that will be part of the  upcoming layout tours for the 2018 Narrow Gauge Convention.  Also, I'm looking forward to seeing the Hopper Car at the 2016 Narrow Gauge Convention in Maine.

I'll be at the NNGC, and also opening my layout for visitors on Wednesday and Sunday.  Where will the F&SM hopper be?

Here's a repost of the FSM Hopper sitting on Gary Hanson's layout.  This posted a week ago, but got lost when the server went down.

In 2018, The Twin Cities will host the National Narrow Gauge Convention September 5 - 8, and the last three layouts - Art VanDeWater's, Seth Puffer's, and Gary Hanson's will be on the home layout tour.

F&SM Hopper Car Update: I just got a report from Mike Engler that he is in the middle of sorting out a hard drive crash on his computer.  He said the Hopper traveled with him to the Narrow Gauge convention but he is not sure if he has any pictures, I assume due to the computer crash.  Mike will be boxing the hopper up for it's long journey to Australia.

That's extremely generous of you to say that Tom but don't get folks expectations built up.

There's a whole lot of layouts out there way better than mine, starting with the layout that the hopper car originated from !

Once I return from my vacation in Greece at the end of September, I'll send out a shipping request.

Again, kind words and thank you.

David
