FSM 155 Old Time Coal Dock (it's great to see that kit on someone's layout.)

That is a great kit.

I built a special crate to move my Coal Dock.  I built an "L" shape from 1x4 wood, padded the model, and then finished the box with an L shaped piece of cardboard.  That box was 4' long!

I just got off the phone with Mike Engler. I have been informed that I owe Mike a drink at the next Narrow Gauge Convention to help with the cost of shipment.  ;)

Thanks John. I hope a few others join in as a one-way fare on the USPS raft to Australia was $22.75.

Mike....would love to buy you a drink to reimburse you postage costs, but not sure if I could justify to the wife cost of airfare to the U.S
I can see her reaction " just popping out to buy Mike a drink, back in a few days" !!

In any event I'll sort something out with John. Really appreciate being involved taking into account the tyranny of distance.

I'm still out of the country but back Oct 3 so hopefully will be the combination of USPS and Australia Post.

Hello all,

My name is Seth Puffer and I am new to the Modelers Forum.  I live in Monticello, MN, about 40 miles northwest of Minneapolis.  My good friend Art VanDeWater of River Falls Wisconsin made the trip up to my layout on Tuesday with the "traveling car".  Of course, we couldn't resist a few photos as it traveled the layout.  I am very honored to be a part of this endeavor and appreciate the opportunity to share my photos with you.

Hey Seth! Layout and photos are both great! Haven't seen or talked to you in forever - not since my Model Railroader days - hope all is going well!

I'll take you up on that drink when we are together at a train show. Speaking of which I plan to be at the Australian Narrow Gauge Convention in Melbourne next April. Any chance you are near that one?

Hi Mike

I live in Sydney, which is a similar distance from Melbourne as Washington DC is to Boston.

Should you be passing through Sydney for a few days please let me know. Would be great to catch up.

Still waiting. In extreme cases in the past it has taken up to 4 weeks for a parcel to arrive from the U.S.
Rest assured I'll post here the moment it arrives.

David's layout is fantastic and the hopper will fit right in.
