Scupper looks good, the bend helps make it look like it belongs.  The supports for the roof/awning are a good detail.

Dave,

Thanks, much appreciated. The bend in the pipe does make all the difference.

Tom,
Really great looking structure with that fantastic sign ! Good tip using the Gallery Glass Liquid Leading to place on the wire ends on the front canopy supports rods. Like those corbels too. Is there a location to the link to print out that sign you used on this build mentioned someplace ?
Tommy

Tommy,

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. The Liquid Leading was Reading Bob's idea so he gets the credit.

The signs also came from Reading Bob. I'll put them up on this thread.

Steve,

I appreciate you stopping by and for posting the kind words of support. The sign makes the building.

I've had many requests for the signs. I got them in the form of photographs from Reading Bob. I simply scanned them and sized them for my need.

I've scanned them here for you to use as well. Click on the picture, then click "save photo as" and put it in the file of your choice. You can resize them to fit your structure as I did.

Wonderful job Tom!

Just a little back story on those pictures, for the few that may not have heard it before.  In the late 90's I was still living up in Pennsylvania.  St. Clair to be exact.  I read a story in the local paper one morning where the old Victoria Theater had been torn down in nearby Mahanoy City exposing the walls of the adjoining buildings with all the old advertisements still painted on them.  Now, my parents are from Mahanoy City and I had spent some time there visiting my grandparents when I was young so I knew the town.  In fact, I had seen movies in that theater.  Well, I grabbed my camera and ran up there to snap the pictures.  If I recall correctly the theater was built in 1923 so that gives you some idea as to the time period of those signs.  I had several sets of prints made.  I sent one set, along with the newspaper article, to Mr. George Sellios since I knew he liked old time advertisements.  I got a very nice thank you from Mr. Sellios along with an invite to come up and see the FSM.  I finally got up to see the FSM earlier this year.   :D  I gave another set to Tom after I moved to Florida and met him.  I love that these pictures are being put to such great use.  And now you know the rest of the story.   ;D

Great story Bob. I really appreciate the set you gave me and I plan to use the Wrigley's sign in the not so distance future.

Erieman

Tom,

Thanks for sharing those wonderful building sidings. I have saved them and started to think where I can use one or two of them. Got my package from Scenic Express yesterday, so I am back working on scenery. I'll post a pic later on my thread.

Tom,

Is there any way to get full res versions of the pics?  Would it be possible to scan them in at 300dpi and send them via email?  Thanks.

Frank
