Hi All:

while I was at the expo I suggested Doug do this as a separate kit and he did it. So I'm starting it today.
Here's a photo of the kit.

Hi All:

yes this is from the large Oyster Hill Kit. Doug's model is a light blue color. Included is a ohot of his kit and a paint sample I made up for you opinions as to which one you like best.

Top: Gray stain with Duncan Wedgewood Blue dry-brushed over top,. Then A&I And dry-brushed with gray.

Bottom: Full strength Ducan Wedgewood Blue, A&I wash And dry-brushed with gray.

Top may need more blue.

Let me know what you think OK.

Karl, I think you are right, the top color does need more blue.

Jim

Raymo

Karl, this a couple steps away from your normal palate of colors. I like the bottom sample.

Hi Jim & Raymo:

So far we got one of each.

I will be following along - I agree with Raymo on the color - but what do we know.

Karl,

I think a lighter grey base, with a heavy dry brushing of the blue and then some AI.  Then dry brushed with antique white will capture the color you are looking for.
