Build is coming along nicely. The kit parts and instructions look to be made very well.

Thanks Jaime , Pollux , Donato.

Jaime Hobbylinc has Trumpeter, although not this one  http://www.hobbylinc.com/trumpeter-locomotive-german-plastic-model-military-vehicles
I wonder can they be motorized...

Jaime

Plenty of room to put a motor in , but you'd have to make trucks and gears for it.

Assembled the axles and fixed them in between the frame pieces. Till now everything fits perfect , but that's what I expect from Trumpeter.

Assembling the buffer beams.

MAP

Looking good Jan.  Detail is extremely nice.  The parts look very crisply molded.  Was there much flash on them?

Thanks Mark , flash none at all  , the only spots that need sanding are the sprue connections , and even those are very small.

Jan,

Looks great! Your build is very clean. What glue do you use? I and plastic are incompatible but it all may be just the glue that I am using.

Vilius

Janbouli

I use Revell Contacta Professional Glue for Plastics

Have also had good experiences with Faller Super Expert

The key is to use as little as possible , this is made easy by the thin metal disperser. To keep the metal disperser flowing always have a lighter at hand , just heat a bit and it will flow again.

Wheels masked for spraying the inside.

Assembled brakes, springs etc. ready to prime with mat black.

A bit dark on the photo , but in real it is a nice mat charcoal/black

Try fitted the wheels , didn't glue them , makes it easier to assemble the slide rods.

Slide rods assembled.

Pilots assembled.

Rail and Tie

This is great stuff Jan.

Hi Jan:

Cool looking loco. Looks like the box say 1/35th scale. Trumpeter makes a pretty nice quality kit from what I've seen of their stuff. I will be following along. The red wheels make the model stand out nicely.

Glad to have you along Karl , hate to disappoint you but the red wheels are for the civil version after the war , I will be painting it German Green , the wartime color and the wheels are mat black on that one.
