Are the coaches with the correct locomotive or should they be with the green .locomotive??????

My "uneducated guess" is neither.
Jupiter was the Union Pacific locomotive at Promontory Point for the driving of the Golden Spike joining the continent by railroad. A close up of the coaches shows them to be from the Virginia and Truckee from Colorado. The other locomotive appears to be an 0-6-0 switcher from The Southern Railway. Southern served Virginia, the Carolinas and much of the rest of the south. Looks like three unrelated triplets to me.
But again, my hazarded guess.
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

The top one would be the right time period, just a different road.

The V&T Locos looked a lot like the Jupiter, wood burners from Baldwin.  So definitely the top.
