This next set of photos will be the last for the Throw Back Thursday thread. Yes, I do have about a hundred more of the old layout but I'm not interested in taking the time to crop, load and post them.

The 19 pages in the thread give you a pretty good idea of how I built and ran the old layout.

I will add that my Babe and I visited Cliff Powers in June and by December 2016 that same year, I was removing this layout and getting ready to build the current Atlantic and Southern RR.

Tom,
What a nice throwback thread.  I enjoyed the memory lane shots.  Please concentrate on your AS railroad of today so we can see what's new.  Thanx Thom... P.S. drink a diet Pepsi and heal up brother.

I for one, will always remember the old AS layout and the fun the SBG had trying to not have something go wrong at the double crossover.

Hey Tom:

That is one great looking roundhouse. I really like it.

It's a shame you dismantled it, but the new one is even better.   :)   Were you using car cards, switch lists, etc?  Or just highballin' a la Greg?  ;D

Thom,

Thank you Bro and as I said on the phone it was time to throw back the Throw Back Thursday thread.

My AS is now full time on the A&S RR except for an occasional structure build or one of the 50 Sylvan vehicles I have.

Time for a Diet Pepsi now as a matter of fact.

Jim,

Thanks for following. It was a fun layout and we had fun as the SGBs on some Saturdays. Mancuso Crossing was definitely a crossing you had to pay attention to.

Tom ;D

Mancuso Crossing was so named due to John Mancuso (Cuse) panicking at the crossing.
