This keeps getting better and better!  I love the additions to the pond area since I last saw it.   :D  :D  :D

I was playing some of you videos on the TV the other night (they look great on a big screen by the way) and Eileen was watching them with me.  She did say "Where are the little people?  You need little people."   ;D  ;D  I told her to be patient.  They're coming.   ;)

Curt,

As always, thanks very much. I'm getting closer to the look I'm after.

Bob,

Thank you, much appreciated. I'll haven't watched any of the videos on the big screen but I'll try this evening.

Tell your lovely wife the little "people" are coming to a layout near you. ;D ;D

Tommy,

Your very generous compliment is very much appreciated, thank you.

I'm very happy to be back in the layout room. The three months off was driving me crazy, but considering the options, three months was not a problem at all.

I'm still in recovery mode but able to do all the good stuff on the layout.

The Judge made arrangements for the Pensacola Zephyr to run on A&S RR tracks. We spotted it coming through the piney woods after crossing the bascule bridge in the Suwannee River Lagoon area.

The PZ made a quick station stop and we learned from the Rio Grande engineer that their B unit was left in Jacksonville for repairs.

This engineer was much smoother in his departure than most others.

Back to the Cracker House -

I glued the four walls together. I added weights to keep it level on the work bench. I've noticed in the past a structure can get just slightly out of square. I think this is caused by the glue drying and pulling on the walls enough to just make a slight "off square" structure.

The weights worked or maybe not but the house is square.

I added gallery glass to the door and windows. When dry I painted on a few blinds. These folks can't afford curtains.

I then glued the door and window in place.

Time for a Diet Pepsi, back in a few.

I decided to add an attic window. This was a little tricksie as the back of the front wall was already braced and the house walls were glued together.

I'll spare ya'll the nasty details but I got it cut in.

I painted this small window as I did the others.

I also added the first set of exterior rafters. These are right up next to the outside of the wall. I did the front and rear. The rafters were left long and will be cut to adjust to the roof over hang.

More in a few.

Nice Zephyr videos.  I think the train would look better with the CB&Q units pulling it.  Just sayin'.   ;D

I cut a piece of cardboard to fit the roof. I allowed for 18" of roof over hang on the front and rear. I did cut a piece with a 24" front/rear over hang but it didn't look good on this small structure.

I scored the roof deck in the center.

I braced the roof and painted the underside Floquil Reefer White to match the rest of the house.
