I then glued a frame to the front to support the front porch 2X6's.

I stained some HO scale 2X6's and glued them in place on the front porch area.

I forgot to mention I glued some HO scale 2X10's to the underside of the house. The 2X10's will give me a better base for gluing on support posts.

Looks great Tom (as always). The white paint is good for showing a little age.

As a nubie here, can you tell me how you cut out the spaces for the windows and doors?

Curt,

Thank you. I like the all white for Southern buildings.

It would be easier to show you than to explain. When you have some time, give me a call and we'll cut out a few windows and doors.

Nice work on your cracker house.  I have been wondering if it is the Ritz cracker house?  Inquiring minds, and all that...or maybe I'm just easily amused.

Jerry,

Thank you for the compliment on the cracker house.

Ritz cracker house, good one. I guess Ritz is better than having a Saltine cracker house. ;D ;D ;D

I've been working on the porch posts and railings.

Hi Tom

I stopped by and got caught up on your layout progress this morning. Very nice modeling. The Atlantic and Southern Build Thread Continued is off to a running start - looking good my friend.

Tom, the pond area turned out very nice, however, you are missing a Gator lurking around. Also, you need to stop making those structures from looking too perfect; it is making the rest of use look bad.

Thanks Tom, I will give you a call next week.

It you'd like I can drop off the Micro Mark Corner Punch so you can take it for a test run and see how it compares to what you're doing now.   :D

Marty,

Thank you and thanks very much for the kind compliment. I love working on the layout but structure building is at the top of the list for me.

The smaller Baker's Country Store is the kit I did a build thread for Jimmy D. It's still on the old forum.
