Tom,
Congrats on the 3600 strip tease shots of your AS.  Have fun tomorrow with all the lurkers and ferroequinologist gazers.  I wonder how many complain tomorrow....... about having lower back pains from bending over and studying all the wonderful details you've built in for their viewing pleasure.  KP-out...

Thom,

Thanks very much. I appreciate the well wishes.

I got your emails, keep me informed as to any new stuff.

Marty,

The middle section was hard and the edges were sticky/tacky.

Tom ;D

Hmm, it sounds more like a mix issue than water issue, unless there was moisture around the pond.

Marty,

Can't be a mix issue as all of it would have hardened like the center. It was all mixed in the same container for the required 15 minutes of fame.

No moisture at the time in the pond. Just unknown. 8)

Tom,

I hope you have nothing but courteous and well mannered lookers with no leaners, or reachers as Frank describes them. The first picture you posted, a very neat and tidy view of the layout room is impressive, finished layouts don't look that good. My first impression was that you had a side business of forensic pathology, the center peninsula looks as if you are stacking the bodies under those blue cloths. Is this a subliminal warning, a sign for the leaners and reachers, because I think it is an effective visual deterrent, it will work? Have a great day, keep Bill busy on the throttle.

Bob

Bob,

I think most visitors are on the whole courteous. If not, I have no problem asking anyone to leave.

I was a CSI for 9 years on the police department and spent my fair share photographing and video taping autopsies. I know how to cover up the dead and they will be if they get out of hand. ;D ;D ;D

Just kidding, well, no I'm not.

I'll make a full report on this adventure.

Chip,

Speaking of Gman, have you heard from him? He's been on my mind and I found his address a few days ago.

Hope all is well with him.

Tom ;D

If I can tell by the amount of Facebook posts he does every day and the humor of his FB posts I'd say David is doing fairly well, I just hope the Smokey Robinson song " Tears of a clown"  is not applicable.

Enjoy your day Tom , hope you have lots of appreciative visitors , your layout surely deserves it.

Jan,

Thanks very much for the update on Gman. I really miss his humor here but we do have Donato.

This should be a fun filled day, thank you.

As everyone knows I did have the NMRA open house yesterday. All went very well.

You can read my reflections of yesterday's main event here.

Tom,
Not wanting to hijack the Open House thread, I noticed what appears to be a staging yard 2' or 3'  above floor level.
Do trains come up to the level we've all seen so many times through the ovalix or is there a long ascent we've not seen somewhere else? I don't recall seeing the lower level covered previously.
Thanks an d please keep up the great work!
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

Chip,

My friend, you may hijack any of my threads you want.

All trains from the lower level staging area use the Ovalix to ascend to the second and third levels. They return using the same Ovalix single track from the third level to the second and staging level.

There is no one long ascent from level to level.

I think my Ovalix and staging tracks can be see on pages 12 and up on the first A&S RR thread. I've posted it here for your review and convenience.

Okay, back to work. The open house was a very nice break from the layout work but there is still work to be done.

First some old business to finish. The track leading to and including tracks at the small lubritorium need to be ballasted. The two lubritorium structures need to be finished with interior detail, lights(LEDs) and etc. Supporting details and scenery also need to be finished.

More in a few.
