Looks great Tom. They cypress trees are just nice until you "sink em" in the water, then they're NICE!

John

John,

Thank you. Yes, the cypress trees do look better in the water.

Jan,

Steve,

Thank you for the compliment. I did fall off the horse a few times this year but I get back in the saddle each time.

Today I used almost all my old super trees from the old layout to cover the river bank on the south side.

Here is my work area.

I'll not waste precious time pontificating all I did so I'll just show ya'll a photo display of what I did.

More in a few.

I like to look of the trees and underbrush out over the waters edge.

Now that the resin water is thoroughly dry, I'll add a just a very thin layer of Deep Pour Water on the top. This will look much better as the second pour won't creep up on the bank.  The dry water won't let the wet water creep up anymore than it has.

Also, the water will be a little higher on the cypress trees.

Tom,
Absolutely beautiful work. Really give the impression of the South. Might suggest a little more tree liter along the river bank in the background. Another thought might include a little scum on the water. I used a very diluted acrylic paint on a brush to get this effect. I think that everyone visiting your layout next month will enjoy seeing your beautiful layout. Keep up the great work.
