ANNOUNCEMENT!

Tom is having a problem getting online after a lightning strike. The provider told him they can't get it fixed till next week. He will be back as soon as the problem is resolved.

The Storms do not appear to have caused a problem with the Internet (Spectrum), but my phone does not work again (AT&T)

Welcome to the Lightning Capital of the world.

Provider?
Reads more like a non-provider to me.
Does the "provider", by any chance, start with a "C"?  :(
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.

If I remember correctly it starts with a "S".....used to start with a "B".  :-\

Back on line but not sure for how long. My modem got hit so its only guess work when it stays on. Specturm says they can be here early next week.

Anyway in the mean time, I'm bypassing the modem using an Ethernet cable and it seems to work for the most part.

I think Greg got it wrong when he said one started with an "S" and the old one started with a "B". In my opinion they are all BS!

My 2 cents worth for today.

I'll have a few updates later this evening.

Tom,
Look at the upside.
If you scrape up some of that BS, you won't have to figure out how to recreate it in the new pasture!  ;) 8)

Well Tom you're certainly letting grass grow under your feet, to juggle a quote.  As usual great work and I'm amazed at how much you can get done in a day. No naps?  Jim

Jim,

Thank you for the kind words of support on the layout. If I start early in the morning the day goes really fast and so far, no naps. But then I'm usually asleep by 8 PM. 8) 8)

I liked how the orange grove dirt turned out so I thought I'd try the same method on the dirt area around Caldwell Junction.

On the orange grove I applied a layer of real Florida sand and then added the WS Earth on top of that. As it was drying, I sifted on a light layer of sand followed by another light layer of WS Earth.

On this road I applied a base layer of sand over white glue. I added matte medium and another light layer of sand. As it was drying I sifted some SE Fine Dirt.

I'll let you know tomorrow how it turned out, good or bad.

Farmer Perkins had Langford Construction Co. pour a foundation for the barn walls. Notice how neat the crew was in cleaning up all the construction debris.

After the foundation was set and dry, the carpenters added the barn framing.

You can see how the framing is scarred and burnt from the laser. I'll paint it with either Floquil Earth of Foundation.

I'm not happy with the look of the BTS barn as it isn't southern enough for me. The roof just doesn't look correct to me. I probably is but I still don't like it. After the NMRA Open House. I'll replace the barn with one that is more fitting of the South.

I added the grass and weeds between the tracks - mainline and siding. I also added the weeds and some growth to the sides of the road. I taped the road to keep glue and water off.

For several hours this fine day I tried to get the internet back up and running. During this time I also made another 75+ trees. I painted them early this morning with Ace Hardware Gray Primer. They were dry after 30 minutes.

Over the next 6 hours I added different types foliage and colors.

Here are about 30 of the 75.

These will be used to fill in the diamond area shown below. Repeat picture.

Done for the day.
