And this is what I have left of the cow pond.

This portion is still very much liquid but the stuff I removed was from the "X" Files or "The Outer Limits". I'll say I was at my limit about this time.

See, I report failures as well as good stuff on this layout thread. What I see, you see, what I get, I pass on to you. No need to thank me. I know you appreciate it! 8) 8) 8) 8)

When the pond water got tacky, I painted on some earth tone paint to hide the blue earth.

It is now 41 hours to the open house.

More in a few.

When the paint dried, I added another layer of dark brown paint to the pond water.

39.5 hours until the open house. No panic as yet. Just very disappointed I have to spend this extra time on the pond.

You can see the uneven water in the above photo. It's the best I could do to repair the pond, at this point anyway.

You can see the paint and pond water drying and shrinking in the next photo.

It is now 38 hours until the open house.

I told you the Deep Pour Water Murky was from the "X" Files or "Outer LImits". You probably said, "I think the guy is nuts or something.

Well, don't say I didn't warn you. Look at the picture again. Do you see the evil face in the water?

The head is turned at an angle. You can see the beady eyes, forehead, nose, mouth and chin. I gave Mr. Murphy credit for this but he won't come even take a look. I need to call Skully in on the case.

I quickly mixed a fresh mix of murky water and poured it over the evil face and over the old water.

So far, so good. The face is gone and the water is level.

The cows came back and are now drinking the fresh water in the cow pond.

37 hours until the open house and all is well once again. This is what I call one Heck of a save.

While all that water stuff was happening, I added some weeds to the Tahope River. The flow is from the West so the river junk accumulated around the dead tree and cypress trees.

These folks should turn around now as they don't know the "Outer Limits" is just around the river bend.

I am glad to see that the cows have clean water.

Great scene.

Great save Tom , do you have any idea what caused the problem?
I love photo's, don't we all.

JusticeCity

Sometime water/moisture will do crazy things to epoxy and/or resins. Was it tacky/sticky when you removed it?

Hi Tom:

Beautiful water and great scenery as always.

Erieman

Beautiful as always. Love the water. How about a couple of paddle ripples? Just saying. Marvelous scenes. I am sure that you will get many accolades tomorrow from your NMRA visitors.  You have captured the true look of Florida. Looking forward to hearing all about your visitors and there impressions. Look out for possible leaners. there are always a few.

Have a great day my friend.

When I first saw the tagline "cows are gone", I feared perhaps our late, lamented buddy 'Gnatshop and his merry band of brothers had come cow tipping. Happy and relieved to learn that was NOT the case.
Water on, Tom after you've finished your NMRA decompression.
Working on my second million. I gave up on the first.
