Hi Tom:

You did an excellent job with this kit. Like the colors and just how it came out.

Karl,

Thanks very much, as always, your comments and support are appreciated. The Model Tech Studio kit wasn't easy but well worth the finished structure and effort.

Well, I'm back at it full time again. I took a little sabbatical due to a sore back, pulled hamstring and overall a little general burn out of sorts.

Over the past several months I've been using my work benches for storage for all things railroad related. One afternoon I decided to go on an archaeological adventure and see what all projects I have on the work areas.

After cleaning up the work space, I rediscovered 8 projects in the works to some degree or other. This is as clean as it will get for now but at least I can see what all I need to get to and finish.

I finished the LEDs in the structures at Caldwell Junction.

I noticed Bill Parrish's truck backed up to the supply shed. He wasn't to be found.

Dave,

I wish I could do it like they do.

You just need to use the right stick!

I'm 95% finished with adding LEDs to the structures on the second level. I say 95% as I counted 95 in or on the structures and I have 5 left to do. A great many of the LEDs came with the structures Reading Bob supplied for the Atlantic and Southern RR.

I can't remember who asked or sent a PM asking how the LEDs are wired to the layout. I decided to do a show and tell on how I do my wiring and the mini panels I use for turning on/off the LEDs.

This will be boring for some as it is basic railroad modeling and wiring. However, there may be some out there who will benefit from how I do mine.

I need to crop some pictures but will start the post later this afternoon.

Thanks for following along.

I hope an LED flashlight counts, if so, I can do it.

I'm going to keep this very simple and not write a Master's Thesis.

I have four small, I'll call them toggle panels, around the second level of the layout. These are used to turn on/off the lights/LEDs in the structures.

First, I determined where I wanted this fourth panel located. I chose a location next to the control panel for the northwest staging turnouts.
