Thank you for the encouraging words.  I like how well the technique is working - I have tried some variations that will be used on some upcoming builds.

I made some more progress on this build today. I "finally" completed the stone painting and mortar fill on all of the rock walls for the Delabarre portion of this build.

At this point it was time to do a test fit on the diorama base to see how it was going to look in position.

If you compare the build to the picture of Bob's build in the background you can see I'm making some changes to better fit the landscape in my location.

Thanks for stopping by the thread. Yes - now that I'm past the rock painting the daily progress will be more obvious.
