John,

Nice color variation on the wood decking.

Looking good John, that is a nice looking setup for lining up the joist. I had a similar jig from a Rusty Stumps kit but from what I can see you did a but of extra wood work to hold the jigs, great idea.
This build is going to look fantastic on your layout , can't wait to see it in place and all filled it with scenery.

The laser cut jigs are from Rusty Stumps - I found that I needed something to hold them in place while I added the joists so I made the holding fixture by running the proper thickness saw blade across a piece of 1x4. I varied the distance between the cuts so I can accommodate just about any HO size deck or loading dock. Thank you for following along and the kind comments.

Thank you for the kind words - I can't wait to see what this looks like in place on the layout.  Lots of details to add and I plan on doing most of the scenery work on the workbench before I move it to the layout. The idea is to slide it in place and patch the holes.

Thank you for the encouraging words - yes it is a huge project. Getting closer every day to seeing this on the layout.

Yesterday, I completed the wiring for Threadwell's portion of this diorama. As you will recall, all the lights were installed earlier.  I needed to build a little board to connect them all to the power supply. I got out my Light Bites folder to refresh my memory and this is the board that I came up with.

The board next to the ditch that it will fit in. The current limiters were soldiered on the work bench. Let the soldiering begin.

The test - fire extinguisher in hand.  No smoke and we have light.

Time to cover the ditch - and get ready for the scenery materials and back loading dock.
