I finished both sides of the half supports by gluing them in place.



In order to join the two pieces, I glued in a strip of styrene and used clothes pins to hold the two pieces together while the glue dried.

Next I started to glue in some diagonal braces.

Well, you get the idea. Here is the bridge with all the diagonal braces glued in place.

I then cut gusset plates for the top.





I still need to cut six gussets for the underside.

The two pieces cut for the end braces need to be covered.

I made a simple box for the end support. I forgot to take a few photos of the process.

Time to make a few bridge and roadway supports. I used the Rix Products for the supports.

Hey Tom.....keep us posted on how the bridge holds up after the first guy on a bicycle goes over it.  ::)

I don't think it will be a problem as long as the rider can get his bicycle up to "Greg Speed"!

No problem, come to think of it, you will be the first to know. The President and CEO of the A&S has decided to give you the honors of being the first vehicular traffic on the bridge. You can ride you tricycle up and down all you want.
