The two reefers are on the icing platform tracks. The yellow metal ruler is 36 inches long and the icing platform will be 36 inches long.

The ACL E6s are on the mainline.

I decided to use the Tichy Icing Platform kit. It doesn't have an ice house but this will give me the opportunity to scratch build one.

The layout looks fantastic! It sure is nice to see you moving at light speed, again.  As always, I will be following along, my friend.

One of the issues I seriously considered when deciding on a third level was how will building it affect or destroy the completed second level.

It turned out my concern was correct but certainly not to the extent as I thought it may be.

Also, since the August 2108 NMRA open house, some things have been broken and damaged. Some by visitors and some mostly by me in the construction of the third level.

Most of the damage has occured on the east side of the second level, mainly scenery, trees and underbrush, and one structure.

John,

Thank you for the most generous and very kind compliment on the layout. I have a renewed passion for working on the layout and so far have been getting 6-8 hours plus a day in the train room.

Also, thank you for following along my friend.

Oh man, I just got kicked in the right thigh by a large Charlie Horse. Damn, that hurts. To much up and down, in and out on the layout. 8) :'(

The scenery in the photo above is stuff I've found on the floor after some of my work sessions.

All the damage can and will be fixed. In fact, the net storage rack and office has already been repaired.

Trees and underbrush will be replanted and some new ground scenery will be added.

Once this is done, I plan to add a Lexan/Plexi-glass fascia to the layout. It will be four inches above the layout edge. I've already purchased the Plexi-glass. There will be no more reaching over the trees or layout beyond the Plexi-glass. Anything needing attention, I and I alone, will be the person to reach over the Plexi-glass.

Remember folks. my layout, my rules.

Thanks as always for following along on this adventure.

John,

I'm afraid I have to plead the 5th. Ask me no questions and I'll tell you no lies.

I will honestly say 90% of the damage is my own.

The yard work looks great. Sorry to see the damage but most of it looks superficial which is a good thing. Unfortunately it will probably be 1-2 weeks before I can get down that way.

I suspect that in order to get all that work done in a weekend a few extra Diet Pepsis are going to need to be consumed.
