Real nice looking build!  Thanks for doing the build thread. I will be coming back to this when it is time to get mine out of the box.

Built my coal tower when they were first introduced many decades ago. Has
been on my layout ever since. Thought the Rock Bunker was almost as tedious.

I would like to own this one or at least get a copy of the drawings if it's not taboo, can't find it online anywhere!

Doug...This may not be possible, but try to get the February 1964 Model Railroader. Great scratch
building article on building the CN coaling tower in Brandon, Manitoba. I think George may have
referenced this article for his FSM kit.

I have every issue of MR for those years and February is missing........ musta been a pretty good story.

Is there another month that might show something?

As said previously, it was a complete draw ans story of a very very similar coal tower (located in dort rouge, Manitoba) in the february 1981 issue of RMC.
If you want the draw, I can scan it tuesday at office... jsut let me know....

I've always been interested in this kit. It just does not look like the typical FSM kit but always looks great on the layouts where I've seen it.
