Well done, Tom. Charming little restaurant. Thanks for your extra attention to the stucco. I'll likely be trying out the Durhams and taking your advice on thin coats.

Very nice job Tom. The signage you made reminds me of South of the Border on I-95.

Man, you went thru that lickety-split. Nice thread. Love the result.

I'm not sure I understand the stucco/water putty process. Could you say a bit more? Are you "painting" on a couple of thin coats? Stippling? What is the mix and how are you applying it (and avoiding unnatural tool or brush patterns)?

Cheers.

Great build, Tom.  I especially like the sign weathering.

Curt,

Thank you and I'm glad you got to see it in person this morning.

One of the reasons I hated driving up and down I-95 was those damn South of the Border Mexican signs.

Brucie,

Thank you for the kind comment. The great thing about a Diet Pepsi is that it goes with anything you eat. ;D ;D

Vince,

I did post a disclaimer that the build was going to be a quickie.

I've had others ask about the stucco as well. In a few days I'll do a thread with more photos on my process for adding stucco to walls.
