The interior wall came next. Unlike the exterior walls, this one only had two pieces. One side faces the office area and the other faces the garage bay area.

This wall has three doors. All the door parts were painted with the Gulf Blue.

Two of the doors have laser cut acetate/mylar windows. They fit in the door as shown below. The frames are to be glued to the doors to hold the windows in.

With the doors now complete, they were glued in place per the instructions.

I cut these two parts off the carrier base. I used an Emory board to sand the two parts down for the garage approach. They were glued in place and then spray painted along with the base with Floquil concrete.

This is a new service station so the bays are not as grimy and oil stained as they will be in a few more months.

The office floor pattern was cut to fit and glued in place using the Elmer's glue stick.

The front and left walls of the station were glued in place. Canopy glue was used for gluing the walls.

As you can see, every effort was made to ensure the walls were vertical and square.

Once these two walls were dry, I glued in place the front windows. The window is a large piece of acetate and laser scored in the middle to make the corner bend.

I used a toothpick to apply a very small amount of glue around the window opening. Using tweezers, I then placed the window in the opening.

I used a soft brush to press the glass in the opening. The brush also helped keep my latent prints off the glass.

I then added the two baseboards to the inside and below the large window. These also support the window display shelf.

When the baseboards were dry, the shelf was glued in place.

Done for the day.

Chip,

Late or not, happy you found it. Thanks for the compliment.

Hi Tom

I go away for a couple of weeks on a cruise and you build a town. This gas station looks very neat. I have book marked it to go back over it once I have my second cup of coffee. OK maybe my third. There is a lot to take in. Thanks for the thread.
