I love photo's, don't we all.

A thought:  If you went over the decal very lightly with white/light grey weathering chalk, it would fade the sign a bit and also work the decal more into the wood.  Since you've coated this already, it would be easy to wipe off the chalk (or Pan Pastel) if you didn't like the effect.

Thanks Dave , I have a part of the building that will not be in sight on my layout , I will try it on that part. But that's going to wait until tomorrow , bed time here in The Netherlands

Very nice work on this kit, Jan. Lots of nice touches with the signs, the roof and the floors.

Thanks Curt and George, now that I'm almost done I had a look to where I would put it on the layout, I thought I had plenty of room but now I find the place I had in mind is too small , looks like I have to puzzle a bit.

Assembled trim, then painted it.

Then assembled the cupola's, I glue on the cornerposts first , leaving them a bit too long.

Then when dry I cut off the excess post.

Getting them nice and square .

To glue them onto the roof I use a mix of white glue and black acrylic paint.

I love photo's, don't we all.

Janbouli

I put the mix on abundantly.

So that when i press the cupola on the roof it gets the tar lining I want.

Both cupola's on the roof.

Then I toned down the sides a bit using light gray pastel chalk, as suggested , this is before.

And this is after, when I look at the photo's I think before looked better , but that's the photo, to the eye the after looks better.

I love photo's, don't we all.

The spot I had in mind to place the structure turned out to be too small, now I am going to place it here in Clay Center.

More later when I do the scenery.

That is a great model. Turned out very very well.  Looks like you chose a great location across the tracks from the other "A+" models!!!
