Greg,

When I joined mrrforums, I was told to try and answer every post or question. This came from king JD! So, for one thing, stop posting goofy posts and I won't answer your goofy posts! Gee, I'm feeling like Gman now! Anyway, don't you mean "quit" as in stop? Your spelling of "quit" is "quite" different!

Merry Christams to you and Pegi!

Tom

Okay...but please, don't start looking like Gnat  ;D

Anything that ends up in that big waste basket can go in the Ledbetter Charity Christmas Package to be shipped to Arkansaw!  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Gman,

The package is in the mail! I'm sending it via the Leadbetters choice of trasportation - a donkey with a small sail!

I've been posting this demolition on the kitforums forum with a little more narrative. I'm waiting here to be able to post the photos in the correct placement of the thread. Anyway, here are a few more with a little bit more information in the thread.

This is the area where the old work bench was located.

Okay, I was trying something but it  didn't work.

When removing this portion of the old layout I forgot I had stuff under the layout and stuff behind stuff that was under the layout. I found an old scented candle, a dead moth, an HO scale broom and a piece of wire insulation.

I also found three railroad signs I forgot I had and I found more old Floquil paints.

tom,

Looks like your demo has resulted in Christmas every day. It's amazing what you find under the layout!!! Been under my layout and have found all kind of misc things that I had totally forgotten about. Now I just have to decide what to do with them!!! Having seen your layout, I am in awe that you are making this change. That being said, I think that the new project will be even more awesome. I sure hope that you get a lot of help or consider full retirement, because you are chewing off the butt end of an elephant with this new project. :) :) :)
Have a wonderful day and Happy New Year to you and Pam. My wife and will be celebrating our 34th tomorrow (Sunday). time flies when your having fun.

Hey Tom:

Have you found any of those old FSM and SRMW kits I left under the layout a couple of years age?  ;D

Frank,

The word is out! Next October is my full retirement from all the semi-retirement jobs if not sooner. That elephant sure has a tough hide, butt (LOL) I'm chewing a little each day! Hope you and the Mrs have a wonderful and safe New Years.

Greg,

Why yes, funny you should mention that. I found a couple of them but sold them to Jaime for $16.00 each!

Tom

Great thread! I feel your pain as my nephew would say!  I went through this process 5 years ago when I decided to go in a different direction with my layout.  Reading through your thread prompted me to get out the pictures of the old layout.  I will be following along, thanks for sharing.
