Very nice Bob !!  Always learn a couple of new things in following along with your build threads.
And a very nice save on the corner gap between the storefronts.   Usually these builds require some patience, creative thinking, and offer exercises in problem solving; well done...
Like you, without the commute time and being able to work from home for the past eight weeks and for the foreseeable future, I am finding a bit more modeling and layout time than I had previously.
Looking forward to your progress.
All the best,
--Paul

Thanks Paul!  I figured out the corner post trick for the storefront by carefully examining the photo's of the build on the FOS website after enlarging them a bit.  I suspect that's what was done on the model in that build but it didn't make it into the instructions (or I haven't found it in there yet).  It filled in the corner rather nicely.   :D

Great build thread/tutorial Bob , not only is your modeling top notch , but your will and way to show us your skills is deeply appreciated.

Thanks Jan!  I really appreciate the comments.  I'm happy to share what I've learned from others here (which certainly includes you). I'm always looking for new tips, tricks, techniques.

Everything looks top notch Bob. I really like the sign. Is this for Tom also?

Thanks Curt!  This one is actually for me.  My wife gave it to me for X-Mas this past year.  Every now and then I have to build one she gave me or she may stop buying them for me.   :P  She already knows I have a huge stash of unbuilt kits but doesn't know what else to buy me for gifts.   ;)

Sorry I missed seeing you at Tom's on Saturday.   :(

Looking great, Bob.

Cheers, Mark.

Thanks Mark.  Much appreciated!  I'm anxious to see how it looks with all the signs, the billboard and roof access sheds.  It's coming together.

Bob,

As usual, beautiful modeling.  The way you fixed the corner gap was pretty clever.  I would never have thought to do it that way.  I hope I can remember how you did it if I am faced with a similar situation.

There sure were a lot of different shirts in the photos.  How many times a day do you need to change your shirt?  ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Jerry.  I figured that corner gap solution out from looking at the photo's of the build on the FOS website after enlarging them a bit.  I'm happy with the way it worked out.

Those t-shirts are my work cloths these day.   ;)  Gotta keep 'em fresh for those webcam meetings.   ;D

Another great build and build thread! Thank you for sharing it with us.

John - Thank you very much.  I appreciate it coming from one of the masters of sharing structure builds, a layout build and countless FSM pictures!  :D  :D  :D

Bob,

Excellent build and tutorial thread on the build. Ref. the door not fitting, this is why I always test fit all doors and windows prior to any painting. I'd rather fix it first and then move on.

Looking fantastic.

Really nice work on this one, Bob. I am really enjoying following along every day even though I haven't checked in consistently.  Even though I follow your builds regularly, I still am picking up lots of useful tips.  Thanks for all the work you do to post.

Thanks Tom!  Good point.  These are laser cut doors, not the plastic Tichy door.  I hadn't removed them from the carrier sheets or assembled them when i painted the walls.  It looks like the openings may have been sized to fit Tichy door castings but he switched over to the laser cut doors and forget to resize the openings.  That's just a guess on my part thought.  No big deal.  A little extra work to make them fit.  ;)

Thank you Jerry.  As usual I see little things I think I did wrong or not exactly like I wanted but when it's all said and done I think it'll look okay.   ;)
