Your build is coming along great.  The glass jars look very useful.  I'm currently using baby food jars (from the Grandkids) but the lids don't fit as tight as I would like.

Thank you for the kind support.  These glass jars are perfect and seal tight. Baby jars don't hold the seal after they are opened.

Wow, hard to believe two weeks have passed since my last post. Been busy on lots of stuff.

I decided on the two colors for Grumpy's . I'm going with Floquil GN Gray Green for the front and G. W. Cream for the main walls.



Back in a few, Diet Pepsi is needed.

That's similar to my railroad's standard color combination (German Army Field Grey, Yellow Oxide), so "good choice!"

I sprayed the front back wall with the G.W. Cream and let dry.



I then sprayed the GN Gray Green on the front portion with the pillars. It was set aside to cure and dry.

Prior to the walls being glued together, I'll need to paint the front of the corner trim the GN Grey Green. On both sides of the front wall that is.



I waited to add the store front header after the corner trim was added. This needs to be flush with the outside of the side walls.

I put the three front doors together and sanded the sides as shown below. After painting, the thickness of the paint and the swelling of the parts  made them wider than the opening.

I used a heavy duty sanding board to sand the edges.



If your sanding is true the doors should stand on edge.
