I think the outside porch and stairway add a great deal to this structure.  The sloping roof, too, is a nice change.  Maybe next time you can try adding a hip roof behind the parapet walls.  Those are quite common, even though from the street they all look like flat roofs.  They also add a great deal of personality and individuality to a structure.

I appreciate you stopping by and posting your thoughts on the build. I like the outside stairway and covered upper porch for an added change to the original kit.

I also definitely like the hip roof idea for a future build. Great idea!
