I used Quick Grip clamps to hold the wall tight while the glue dried.

Notice also that the green matches to the boards.

I made sure the sub assembly was square to the main building.

I then painted the freeze boards white and glued them in place on the top of the two end walls and in alignment with the gabled roof sides.

To avoid warping later, I glued a scale 12X12 to the insides of each gable peak. This will also help support the roof panels.

All square and ready for the roof.

In the next photo you can see the original base is to narrow. I widened the main building so I needed to make a larger one.

I used 2-ply cardboard to make a new base.

I used the old base and the size of the structure to trace a new, larger base.

Time now to cut out the new base pattern.

In the upper left of the next photo, you can see where I made and scribed the wrong location of the expansion joint. I  filled the joint with white glue and when dry, lightly sanded it smooth and made the new joint.

Now the building is on a base that fits the structure.

Also, the 2-ply cardboard is the same thickness as the original kits base.

To seal the cardboard, I painted each side with Elmer's While Glue. I let one side dry and then did the other.

The glue dries clear and is a great.
