Morning all.

Made it to my four day weekend.   8)  The window folks are coming this morning  to finally finish the window replacement job from last year.  Unfortunately, after they finish, we finally need to pay them.   :P

I might mow the yard later, we'll see.

Need to get some ambition and work on the layout again.

Visited the train museum in Green Bay on our trip to Door county.  They have this small locomotive in their collection.  It's sister 4014 will be passing  through in 2 weeks, I may have to go see it.

Good morning.

Foggy start to the day, looks like we should have a sunny day today, and thru the weekend.  That's about as exciting as it gets here...

I hope everyone has a great day!

Another day of perfect weather in SE NH.  62 up to 79, sunny.  Yesterday I did some small scale scenery work, filling in gaps, etc. with ground goop.  I need to mix more goop.

I understand the PM has ordered the 2 Canadian railroads back to work under arbitration.  I think US president has similar powers over US railroads if they go on strike.

Morning all,

Sorry John.  I won't be at the NNGC.  But maybe I paid for someone else to go given my checking account got whacked for an unauthorized charge from American Airlines this week. >:( We're disputing the charge, of course, and the debit card number used has been cancelled.

I did some 1:1 painting in the master bedroom yesterday and quickly determined I prefer 1:87 painting over 1:1 painting.  I'm far from finished but I won't return to that project until Monday at the earliest.  Think I'll do a little 1:87 painting today.

You never know what you might see at the Horseshoe Curve.

Have a great one!

Bob, I noticed a fraudulent credit card charge for a hotel.  I called the hotel directly, after cancelling the card, telling them "You should be able to catch this guy as he checks out.  The card has been cancelled."  I don't know if they actually took action on that, but at least they had the opportunity to do so.

Wife thinks she dropped her card between the seats in her car.  We both looked, but couldn't find it.  Of course with powered seats, there's lots of stuff underneath the seat and places for a card to disappear.  Anyway, we cancelled that card and ordered replacements.

Good morning all,

One of my future neighbors happens to be a general contractor (they are currently building a 'compound' at the other end of the subdivision. Their compound will be a house/garage, detached workshop with MIL apartment above, and a detached garage/barn). He will be handling/coordinating the drywall hanging/finishing and painting of the unfinished areas of my basement.  It sounds like the drywall will be delivered on Tuesday and the drywall crew will start hanging late next week. I was anticipating having a much longer wait for the drywall/painting so this would be a big win.

That's blatantly fraud, and I'm presuming the credit card company detected and reported that internally, even if they didn't notify you.  When I've had similar situations (like when I got pickpocketed in Lisbon), the credit card company notified me of suspicious activity and put a hold on the card until I either OK'd the purchase or verified it was fraud.

(There's the time my credit card # got lifted in NZ.  When we got back home, I noticed several thousand dollars run up on an on-line dating site in Australia.  My wife said, "If I wasn't with you on that trip, I would be suspicious."  Credit card company refused the charges.  We only used that card once on the trip, to rent the car in NZ.  But what a loser, eh!?)

Afternoon all,

Late to the party but I've been working in the train shed most of the day.

Hope all is well with everyone, other than getting hacked.
