Morning all. It's Thanksgiving prep day! Hope your turkeys are thawed!

Todd Wiley had some nice things to say about the forum on their most recent podcast and shared the Challenge information. https://wileysscalemodeling.com/

Morning Matt and others,

I'll listen to Todd's podcast later this morning.

I have assorted cereals with whole and low-fat milk this morning. Help yourselves.

I'm still rebuilding the Ovalix on the layout and working on the build challenge.  So, my Thanksgiving Eve is a busy one.

Have a great day ya'll.

Morning all.

I'm having a quick breakfast of yogurt and a banana this morning, then heading off to get a haircut.  Then off to the hospital to get the stitches out.  Hard to believe it's been 2 weeks since my surgery.

Maybe I'll listen to the podcast while working on the challenge build later.   Would seem to go together well.

Good Morning Everyone;

Looking forward to listening to the podcast, I usually do it while modeling as well. So here is a Todd Wiley story:

I went to what turned out to be the last of the EXPO's for train modeling, it was up in Albany NY on a weekend. Being the weekend and fall, except for the EXPO attendees there was nobody around. After the last clinic for the day I wandered around a little not knowing anybody when a guy who I had seen at the clinics called me over to him and his wife. He said, and I quote, 'hay buddy come join Lisa and me for dinner we hear there is a good place across the street'. I guess I looked like I felt, lost. I took him up on the offer and that is how I met Todd Wiley and his better half Lisa. Next night he called me over to a group of guys in the lounge shooting the bull about modeling and everything else. As they say the rest is history. People like Todd are few and far between and I am glad to be his friend.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Morning,

Still ticking.

I have been spending my time editing old pictures of my parents families and trying to figure out who they were. I live mysteries.

Morning all,

Just got back from breakfast and a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up a couple of onions.  I sure hope we don't need anything else from the grocery store.  Madness. :o

Guess I'll spend the afternoon at the workbench and watching old movies.

Have a great one!

Good afternoon...  Today I took a trip to Home Depot and bought some grout and a sample size of paint in what I hope are consistent colors.  I thinned the paint 50% with white glue, with the idea this is the base for the grout as the first layer of texture.  The sanded grout doesn't have all that much texture, I might look into mixing fine sand/screened paver base into it.

Rain tomorrow, so I won't be doing the turkey on the smoker/grille like I originally planned.  Darn.

The 'Laird o' the Malts' called a pre-Thanksgiving meeting of the neighborhood Scotch Club, I'll join that before dinner tonight.
