Good morning.

The door is open and the coffee is hot.  That's a nice start to a mid-20's morning temperature with a snowstorm forecast to arrive later today and continue through tomorrow.  (Latest forecast is for 3-5" of snow at my house, higher totals slightly to the north of my location.) I'm planning to attend a presentation on the Unadilla Valley Railroad by a member of the railroad's historical society this afternoon.  It is about an hour away, fingers crossed I can make the drive each way without any major problems.

I hope everyone has a warm, safe, and productive day!

Morning all.

Today will be our warmest day (high of 40) until the weekend.  I have an outside chore to do and need to get some groceries and gas up the van.  I'm out of flat spray paint (Tamiya), so I'll take a rare trip to our local hobby store for that.  They have a few train items, mostly car/plane models, radio controlled stuff, etc, but they do have a fair selection of hobby paints.

Good Morning Guys;

Thanks for the coffee Jerry, tastes great, real dark roast beans, just the way I like it. As for last night I had the gift of getting older, insomnia. I think I got a couple of hours in but I do know I made over 10 of those pesky windows for my model. Even got some painting in on the roof part. Oh well. Time for my morning walk and enjoy the brisk air before starting the day.

Stay warm folks.

Mornin' all,

16 degrees here this morning.  I noticed the furnace/heat pump had switched automatically to AUX heat mode (propane backup for the heat pump) this morning. I had been wondering if that would happen automatically once the exterior temp was low enough. My guess is that it did that because it was below 20 degrees.  I need to ask the HVAC guys about that.

A couple of the home builder's guys came over yesterday afternoon to install (finally) the cabinet 'box' above the kitchen vent fan that hides the 8" duct pipe as it goes into the wall/attic  They got it basically mounted but they will be coming back to install the crown molding.

Morning all,

Pam and I have a few errands to run this morning and then I'll be back in the train shed.

I'm taking a break from the Winter Challenge to get some other stuff done.

Have a safe, warm and happy day ya'll.

Morning all,

Been fussing with the lights on the artificial tree the last two days.  Couldn't get some of the strings to light up (it's an old tree) so I'm cutting them out to replace them with some new strings.

Hope to post some updates to my current build thread today or tomorrow and then get started on my Winter Challenge build.

Have a great one!
