Morning all.

Four degrees here this morning to a high of 16.  I don't plan to leave the house.

Need to do some cleanup around the layout and will continue slow progress on the challenge build.

Morning Jeff and others drifting in,

4 degrees Jeff,  and I thought I was cold here with 42 and slight wind. 42 not so bad after all.

I have a few errands and then I'll get back to the challenge build.

Stay warm and safe everyone.

Morning all,

Yesterday I installed a 50" TV in the train layout room.  Once I start working in there I will decide whether it's functional. If not, then I will move it somewhere else.

Sunny and chilly this morning.  But no snow like yesterday morning.  The snow all melted before noon once the sun came out..

Good morning.

Rained yesterday, then snowed lightly overnight.  Sunny but windy here, temps in the twenties, wind chills in the teens. It is pretty brisk outside, but definitely a lot warmer than at Dr. Jeff's house.  Planning a quiet day while I catch up on some household chores.

I hope everyone has a safe and productive day!

Good Morning Folks;

Definitely chilly today, I was planning to go to Home Depot and work in garage so no big deal.

Thanks to Bob for finding the error on the site concerning seeing the Winter Challenge. Craig has fixed it and all good.

Yesterday I did a lot of detail design work for the flour mill project, boring, so today it is time to do something fun. Not sure what but I will find something. I put the tower section of mill together yesterday to get an idea how it will look. Much more to do before gluing it together but here is an idea what it looks like. I have decided I will never build such a large building again, they simply take too much room up on my little layout.

Have a great day.

Well, I was out getting the mail at 5:00 last night, when all-of-a-sudden, the lights went out across the neighborhood, and only the (battery powered) window candles were lit.  Turns out it was a problem at the substation, power came back around 9:00.  The dogs were wondering "Why are the people sitting on our couch in the dark?"  I also now know which battery backups need to be replaced.  My goal is to get 4 hours on the networking infrastructure, one part of that only lasted 90 minutes.

Morning all,

You're welcome, Jim.  This morning, I noticed that the issue has been corrected, and the contest threads are visible even when you're not signed in.  Hopefully it's not too late for others to take note of the contest, join the forum and join in on the fun!  There are some great prizes available. ;D Even though I'm going to participate in the contest I'm going to ask that, in the off chance my submission would be deemed prize worthy, the prize be passed on to the next person in line.  I already have too many kits.  ::)

I got a fair amount done at the workbench yesterday.  I need to carve out some time at the computer to start my thread.  May not be today, however.  Lunch with the old work crew today and I need to start wrapping presents.  My better half has a birthday on Saturday.

Have a great one!
