Hello Curt, what a wonderful job you did with this build. Is there a reason that it is not going on the layout and will instead be a wall mounted display ?

Curt, that looks great.
Congratulations on an outstanding model.
The way I looked at kits, especially the more expensive ones, was how many hours I got to build it.
If you divide the cost of the kit by those hours the price of the kit seems a bargain.

Curt,

That build looks like it was well worth everyone of those hours and then some.  It's going to look great on your modeling shelf.

Curt I can only echo what the others have said. Fantastic job and I like that you added
a truck and some LP's to complete a great looking scene.

Hello Curt, I saw your explanation as to why this beautiful model will be a display only diorama. It would have looked great as part of your empire, but will also be a very interesting point of interest in your train room as a wall display. Either way, great job and terrific modeling.

Hello Curt, will we get to see a picture of the wall mounted display before you go on your trip ?

Howdy Curt,

The build is amazing and worthy of the display case.  You've got to be proud of this one.

Have fun,

My current build is the Water Tower and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Morning All,

Thank you Dave, Tom, Jerry, Jeff, nycjeff, Rick, Ron, Larry, and Mike for following along and your very kind words.

I ordered a $39 put together display case from Amazon. The kit was easy to put together. I priced a custom built one but it cost in the range of $200.

Sorry about the quality of the photos. The camera catches all the room reflections that are not as prominent to my eyes.

Curt, that's a pretty good deal on that box and it looks good.
If you send me the original file of that first picture I'll try removing the glare.
Photoshop has a function that does that but I'm not sure if it will work on a jpeg.
I'd like to try it though.

Rick sorry I got rid of the original because I wasn't happy with it. :(

I see the mine is in a place of honour.  The mine looks great in the case,
