Good morning Curt, ACLTom, Mike, Rick, TomO and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee Curt, have fun with the hoist house floor.

ACLTom, have fun with the BSing today, I'm looking forward to the Judge's report.

Mike, have fun at the bench, looking forward to your next update.

Rick, yup lots of ne names this year in F1, haven't watch the qualifying yet, will do that after work today (yes I work Saturdays) Have fun outside today.

TomO, hope the Badger women win today.  If your goal is to make those cars well weathered and used, you are well on your way to achieving that goal, they look great already.

Jerry,  glad you are getting time at the bench, looking forward to your update.

Currently 63F and overcast here.  No modeling last night but I did spend time organizing the modeling parts and supplies I brought with me.  I'm quickly running out of excuses to avoid doing some modeling.  ;D

Have a great day everyone.

Yes race season is here.

I should have a thread and pictures next week if all goes well.
So that means I need to get some time at the bench this weekend we will see how that works out!!

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

There will be no train room activity this morning. Seems I have maybe 25-2x4's of various lengths in the side yard. Most against the house. About a 1/2 mile west of us is an under construction apartment/townhouse complex. I'm thinking that's where they came from.

The insurance guy will be here by 10 for picture taking and checking for damage I don't see. The son in law and 2 of his neighborhood friends will come do the cleanup

Frustrating but nothing to worry about and no one is known to be hurt. I am in the yard though on a lawn chair as a few neighbors (I've never seen b4) want the 2 x 4's and I said no. I told them the insurance guy is coming and a clean up crew is on the way. There were not happy! I will make sure my ankle holster is noticeable.

50f degrees and no wind isn't bad sitting weather

Based on past performance MSU can start celebrating. Clutch time and this iteration of men's basketball from the Wisconsin Badgers will fold!

Good Morning All,

Breakfast today is coffee, cereal, bagels, OJ, and soda.

Looking out the window as the sun comes up I see the clouds racing across the sky. Never a good sign. It's supposed to storm later here but Ron will probably get it worse in JAX than here.

Yesterday I colored the flooring strips and glued them to the template (as directed) which leaves it pretty flimsy. I may decide later during the house assembly to glue styrene to the underside.

Today after chores it looks like the next step in the instructions for the build is cutting the base for the diorama (wood and foam).

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Curt, thanks for breakfast and have fun in the train room today.

Taking Pam to the grocery store this morning and later the day is mine.

The Judge and I had a good time yesterday and I told him to get back on his Saturday Report and Stories.

As Curt mentioned, severe weather coming through here later this afternoon.

I spoke to a local train friend of ours yesterday. He has been battling cancer of the brain, lungs and liver. Jon told me he was given 3-4 months and all treatment has stopped. He was our local DCC install guy. However, he was in a great mood in spite of his situation.

Have a safe, healthy and happy day everyone.

Morning Gents,

Yesterday I decided to give myself a break from being online. Of course later last night I
went on here only to find I was still signed in from the day before.

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Hope your weather is uneventful; looks like some folks down
south may get hit pretty hard. Have fun with the diorama.

Tom have fun grocery shopping; watch those egg prices. Sorry to hear about your friend; that SUCKS!!! Nice
that he's in good spirits though.

What's your plans for the day?

It's a very windy and rainy 63 with a high of 72 in New York; hopefully the power stays on. Still contemplating, with some scribbling, a possible new modeling project. Hope to watch the NCAA Men's Basketball selection show later today; although I have my doubts about Syracuse U getting invited to "The Big Dance".

Have a great day everyone!!! Hope you guys down south stay safe and be well.

Good cool morning from Wisconsin. The seasonal temperatures are back. 25f degrees feeling like 15 is what the weather app said a few minutes ago. Maybe 36 later

The Badger Women played a stubborn Clarkson team yesterday on campus to advance to Minneapolis next weekend for the NCAA Frozen 4. They did win 4-1. That ends in person college hockey for us. We can't go to Minneapolis because Terry's next cataract surgery is Monday the 24th. The 5 hour drive home on Sunday would be too much pressure on her eyes and 2 attempts previously were postponed because of high eye pressure. So we will watch on ESPN on the big screen in the cave

The damage to the siding is minor on the west facing wall of the house. The guys did have to trim a few branches off of 3 trees on that side. I did get a visit from the local police because one of the local dog walkers "thought" she saw a gun. Showed the officer how I was sitting and why and you can see the outline in the pants leg when I sit and part of the holster. The officer had no issue but was interested in the "neighbors" who wanted the lumber. I told her it just felt off to me as they didn't fit the neighborhood profile nor the apartment profile across the street. Yep I know profiling and assumptions but it is what it is. We are an ethnically diverse neighborhood so it's not a race issue. It just felt strange to me but I didn't report it. So I sat innocently on my property until it could be cleaned up. The SIL and friends had it cleaned up in less than 90 minutes. I believe the lumber came from 1/2 mile west of us where a couple townhouses were going up.

A grocery run is planned this morning then I should be able to get in the train room

Enjoy the day
TomO

Rain and cool headed to cold in MI this morning.  The current radar shows the current line of scud has passed to the NE

My hoops team came up short against Wisc which killed our TV time. >:(  after a couple hours here and there with the layout we watched a flick, The Eagle Has Landed a far fetched WWII story of a plot to kidnap Churchill by the Germans.

More layout time today.

Those of you in the S and SE be careful out there. :o TomO, I'd imagine the 'dog watcher' would be named Karen... :-*

Good morning everyone.

Redwood City weather: A 30 percent chance of rain after 5pm. Increasing clouds, with a high near 63.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
I hope you, Tom, Ron and all the other Floridians don't have any problems with storms.

ACLTom, have fun shopping and sorry to read about your friend.

Larry, I never log off from the forum or any other forum either.

TomO, congratulations to your hockey team and glad there wasn't a problem after 'Karen' showed up.

Karl, looks like all is ducky in your area.

Jerry, I'm excited to see your pictures.

Ron, crazy first race of the year.

Mike, your latest update was 5 stars.

What's everyone else up to?

Star and I did a nice 6 mile walk yesterday in Palo Alto.
Gym this morning then I think Frisco will be next.
I don't think I'll do much in the city.

Apparently this forum has a minor glitch where photos don't show up right away.
But if you come back later you'll see they are there.

Shot a short video of a colony of gulls on the walk yesterday: https://youtube.com/shorts/EY9JDtbE4Pw

And a photo from Pacific Grove.

Karl have fun playing at the layout.

Morning Rick nice picture and I'll watch the video right now.

Weather in South Jersey cloudy/61.  Later on 65 and rain.
I did get my hour in at the bench yesterday make that 3 hours.
Not sure what kind of siding I want to do?
And it's a good thing I didn't put the decking on the piers I forgot to do the NBW's.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Good morning Curt, ACLTom, Larry, TomO, Karl, Rick, Jerry and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, have fun with the build.

ACLTom, sorry to hear about your train friend.

Larry, egg prices here??? paid the same for 6 eggs here as I would for a dozen back home and considering the exchange rate.....  Hope you figure out your next modeling project soon.

Karl, I'm fimiliat with yellow duckies, first time I've seen a lime green one.  :) Have fun at the layout.

Rick, haven't watched the race yet, it's the next thing on my to do list.;D  Say your seagull short last nigh, talk about noise. :o  Safe travels

Jerry, I get paid 1-1/2 of every hour over 40 and I work 60 hrs a week here (6 x 10).  I went from semi retirement to this. :o

It's currently 75F and gloomy here in northern Florida, already deceived a tornado warning this morning :o  Had to deal with those in Kentucky, didn't think I'd be dealing with them here too.   Been a busy morning here so far as I got up put my laundry on, went to Walmart to pick up a second $25 air fryer (buying the cheap ones was less expensive that buying a double one) and did mt grocery run for the week.  Next up is to get me another cup of coffee and watch the F1 race.  Bench time this afternoon.

Have a great day everyone.
