Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Details do tend to get a little tedious
if you a ton at a time. Have fun with the boiler.

What's happening in your neck of the woods.

It's 42 with a high of 56 in New York. A few errands to run shortly then off to the bench.
Been working on the center cab diesel; just need to do some touchups along with some light
weathering while I wait for the new backdrop to arrive. That's about it from here.

Have an enjoyable day!!! Be well and stay safe.

Temps in MI starting out in the 30s with considerable wind and some snow forecast, so far quite light.  Might be a fine indoors day.

Our SPARTANS advanced in the NCAA another round after a really poor first half.

Layout construction on tap for today after breakfast and morning chores are complete.

Everyone enjoy their day.  TomO, best to Terry on the eye work.

Morning all,

Curt, thanks for breakfast and opening the lounge.

Gators barely escaped the UCONN Huskies. Gators got careless and gave up to many easy points near the end. They did move on to the sweet 16.

Not much else going on here today.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Good morning everyone.

Carson City weather: Sunny, with a high near 73.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast and have fun with the boiler.

Greg, enjoy the day.

Karl, congratulations to your team and have fun with the layout.

Mike, hope there's all good news at the cardiologist's.

Dale, I'm not a fan of the wind either.

TomO, all the best to Terry and hope her procedure goes well.

Jerry, pictures?

ACLTom, any thoughts on the next project?

Ron, crazy happenings at F1.

Dave, I need to check out your build thread.

Larry, hope everything melted.

Star and I walked around Carson City some.
After lunch I went to a cigar bar and had a very overpriced cigar and porter.
I think today I might visit the Nevada RR Museum.

Here's a video from the California State Railroad Museum and one of the volunteers gave a very interesting and informative tour of a Railway Post Office: https://youtu.be/s8aLPgqmvQw

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Curt, Larry, Mike, Karl, Greg, ACLTom, Rick and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, enjoy working on the boiler.

Larry, have fun working on the diesel cab.

Mike, hope the visit to the cardiologist goes well and you get a clean bill of health.

Karl, glad to here your Spartans are moving on.

Greg, enjoy your day.

ACLTom, enjoy your day and good luck to your Gator's in the next round.

Rick, was shocked to find out this morning that both Ferrari's were disqualified.  :o  Have fun at the Nevada RR Museum (if you make it there today).

Currently 65F and overcast here.  Not much modeling yesterday but I did manage to get some details painted.  I ended up getting my weekly groceries, watching the F1 race as well as the F1 Academy Races and then decided to explore the area a bit.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning all! A busy Monday in the lounge!

I messed up the roof on my model. Way to much chalk and may have to do a shingle over.... Any suggestions on a fix as they are real cedar shakes? I have also added a few sign here and there and the hunt continues for usable color signs. The smoke stack pipe is all in one piece finally set in primer. getting thar, wherever that is...

Good visit with the doc Mike! The tour guy was missing his sidearm Rick ;D

You all have a good one!

Jerry

Morning everyone

Larry looking forward to the next update.

Mike hope the checkup goes fine!

Morning Greg!

Tom what's next any thoughts on what your going to do??

Rick just watched the video excellent thanks for sharing that.

Ron I can't believe both the Ferraria's were disqualified.
Oh did they add more races this year??

Weather in South Jersey rainy/48.  Later 53.
A good day to sit at the bench.
Maybe I'll get far enough along to start a thread.

Everyone have a wonderful day!!  :)

Terry is fine and the 2nd cataract surgery went even better than the left eye 2 weeks ago. We are at home. She has had her coffee and a treat from Dunkin'. Just wearing an eye shield till 12:30 and she is on her computer right now. So all is good and thanks for the well wishes

I am waiting for the plumber.

Philip try using a larger soft bristle brush to brush off the excess chalk; fingers crossed
it'll take enough off.

Philip, moisten a piece of cloth with isopropyl alcohol and wipe the roof from top to bottom. That should remove some of the chalk.

Cold but the sky is clear here just moments before sunrise in MI.  270 at the MSU ag network station just down the road.  I'm heading out shortly to an ops session.  Joe F from Model Railroad Hobbiest is to be there preparing a feature for the lead up to the NMRA convention this year being held near Detroit.

Work on the layout continues, sawz-all and jig saw helping me redo a level changing grade I had sorely misconjured...sighting down the thumb was out of plumb... >:( having my palm sander self destruct in my hand was exciting.  :o

Have a good day all. Safe and dry

Morning Gents,

Karl thanks for the coffee. Glad the sander didn't give you an extra jolt and good
luck with the layout redo. Enjoy the Ops session.

Assorted pastries this morning to go along with the coffee. Also the other morning
beverages are available.

What's your plans for the day?

It's 40 with a high of 45 in New York. Lots going on today least of which is a company
coming out this afternoon to talk about a whole house generator; same ones we purchased
our furnace and central air from. The last power outage lasted almost a day with NO water
and we lost probably $100 in food; had enough. Bench time ?????

Have a great day!!! Be well and stay safe.

PRR Modeler

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening Karl. Taking a sawzall to your layout makes me cringe. :o

Larry thanks for breakfast. Good luck with the salesman today. Another chapter?

Started out with a walk at 65F, it was misty and damp from the overnight rain. Yesterday I spent almost 3 hours working on the boiler. It was way more fiddly than I expected. Today I need to re-spray it then weather it. If I get done with it I'll post a couple of photos.

I hope everyone has a good day.
