Morning crew.

Happy Anniversary Tom!

Dave, I remember Dave Mason replicated a mansard roof with some wood cove moulding over at RLF long ago.

Taking the better half to the dentist this am. Gotta run ....

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee and breakfast.  It's nice to catch up with old friends.

Rick, safe travels.  Hope you can avoid the sneaux.

TomACL, congratulations on your anniversary.

Larry, the yard work can wait.  It will still be there when it's warmer.

Karl, wishing you a great day.

Ron, good luck at the meetings.

Jerry, thanks for the tip about acetone.  I had no idea.

Dave, good luck with the structure.  It looks challenging.

Philip, good luck at the dentist.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's a bright morning in Georgia, and it will warm to 76°F later today.

Yesterday's adventure was traveling through Atlanta on the way to Augusta.  I met my Sister from North Carolina at a dealership to buy a new car (big brother advisor).  She is an adventurer and wanted something to pull her trailer.  She bought a Tahoe Z71 off-road with a towing package. Away she goes...

Not sure what is on the agenda today, other than prepping upstairs for family visiting next week.

Have fun,
mike

The lake boats are sailing, since last week, watching the SOO locks stream while working at the desk...a bit of ice up there yet and 100% snow cover.

As long as we're floating around, here is a video on the old Chief Wawatam that ran rail cars from the UP to the Lower for many many years.I wish they still had Car Ferries, the Ann Arbor used to run to Manistique years ago, there is a part of the apron in town if you know what you are looking at. I'd be able to watch the boats from my house, Northern Command on Lake MI just SW of " 'Stique"  The Manistique and Lake Superior was a wholley owned subsidiary of the AA

PRR Modeler

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

No modeling today. Dad received the VA Respiratory Clinic call yesterday that we were waiting on and he is getting evaluated for continuous O2 need at 0930.

Yesterday did not go well at the workbench. I was trying to put together the hoist drum assembly and after about an hour fiddling with it the 2 main drum supports came loose. :-X, so after I spoke sailor for a while I re-apoxied the 2 supports, braced them and will give it 48 hours to set. Not happy.

Karl interesting videos.

Mike your daughter got a nice vehicle.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Hope all goes well with your Dad. Modeling
can be a bit trying at times. I usually just set whatever it is aside then start fresh
another day. Good luck.

What's the plan?

It's a sunny 36 with a high of 50 in New York. I did spend some time outside yesterday raking
up lawn debris; maybe I can finish today. Been doing some terraforming on the micro so hope to
continue after errands this morning.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning all,

Nice live feed and video of the car ferry Jim, thanks for sharing. I don't even smell the popcorn.

Curt, thanks for breakfast. Coffee smells good but I'll have the OJ.

Dinner last night with Pam was great. Food excellent and the company was even better.

Have a great day everyone and stay safe.

Morning everyone

Curt thanks for the coffee & breakfast this morning.
It's called patience and sometimes you just need to walk away from it!
Hope things work out for your Dad.

Larry sounds like you have a plan this morning.

Weather in South Jersey suuny/45.  Later 65.
Maybe a trip to the beach later today.
Decking is done on the pier.  Now to start the building that goes on it.

Everyone have a wonderful day!! :)

400 plus but with rain in the forecast, headed well into the 60s! but...the rain is sorely needed.

Been watching tracking on an eBay buy, it's in it's 3rd day now bouncing around W Michigan, last reported SW of Kalamazoo in E. Podunk, about 60 miles from our 'home' post office. As they raise their rates they give you a nice tour for no extra charge... :-X

Plans are to stick close to home.  Layout may get some attention.  I cut background boards yesterday for the new lower level I've been stumbling around with.

That's it from here, getting the slicker and galloshes ready if I need to venture out.  ;)

So what's in YOUR wallet agenda?

We have hoops in the evening.  Saw a few minutes of the Duke vs AZ game,  :o "Oh man.."

Good morning everyone.

Trinidad, CA weather: Rain. High near 54. South southwest wind 6 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Hope Dad's VA evaluation goes well and maybe work on another part of the kit while the epoxy cures.

Karl, don't get me started about the PO.  :-X
Hope the layout construction goes well.

Jerry, sounds like bench progress was made.

ACLTom, I know your anniversary isn't till Sunday, but I'll forget by then, so I'll say Happy Anniversary now.
Glad you enjoyed dinner.

Larry, doing scenery was one of my favorite parts of the hobby.

Mike, congratulations and good luck to your sister and her new vehicle.
Maybe our paths will cross out on the road.

Philip, can't think of anything worse than going to the dentist.  :-\

Ron, it was my experience that meetings at work were usually very low on getting anything accomplished.

TomO, any news from Wisconsin?

Greg, how are you?

Terry, I see you around and hope you are well.

Did a lot of driving yesterday, and made it back to the California coast.
I'm less than 30 minutes south of Redwood NP and I'll go there in a little bit.
Rained almost all day but the scenery in the canyons and national forests I drove through was spectacular.

Hope I didn't already post this picture.
This was sunset in Pacific Grove.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening and breakfast.  Good luck with the epoxy.  I hate it when that happens.  Good luck to your Dad, too.

Larry, good luck with the terraforming.

TomACL, wishing you a great day, too.

Jerry, congrats on the decking completion.  A trip to the beach sounds like a good reward.

Karl, thanks for the video links.  It looks cold up there.

Rick, thanks for the nice photo.  Good luck with the weather.

Philip, it's sad about services at Knox.  That used to be a stellar place, at least when I was assigned there for school in 1971.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's a hazy morning but warming to 81°F.  I just took Sweetie to SPA day (dog groomer) and washed the car.  I'll head upstairs to work on my next project later.

Have fun,
mike

Philip

Morning all!

Not a good day yesterday at the dentist. Wife needs yet another root canal. Co-pays have increased yet again.

Then the highlight was to pick-up meds on Fort Knox. I'm writing my congressman about yet more service related stuff on fort knox. Long story short they didn't receive the script and today still no word after the dental office sent it twice. Drove 30 miles one way for nothing! In the meantime we have the dental office send it to Walgreens and 20 minutes later the script is filled and we are on our way. The system call up on fort knox crashed yet again! Called 4 or 5 times. Still no word on amoxicillin. One would think they would be more engaged in filling a pill bottle. Pathetic.

Anyhow have a great day. I'll being making a coherent statement today. Sorry for the rant.

Hey Rick try going to Binter Street Pharmacy on Fort Knox Kentucky! lol  Just stay away around 2:30 (tooth hurtee..........)

TomO/Tloc

Good morning from Wisconsin. The overnight rains have ceased and are heading to Karl over on the east side of the Lake still called Michigan. 50f degrees now heading into the high 70's. Snow is forecast for Monday morning

Medical was fine yesterday, no stents needed. I tried to tell the doctors what the scans were saying was wrong but shadowing indicated clogging! I was right as this was not my 1st Angioplasty. Have to take it easy for a few days but other than don't lift more that a gallon of milk I should be ok.

Today I head to the pharmacy for blood pressure medicine. A first for me!

I will tour the house project the daughter and hubby are building. I'm playing project manager. They close on their place 4/2 and will move in with us for the rest of the year or less.

Some weathering hopefully today. Furniture movers this afternoon to move the bedroom stuff around. Emptying our upstairs master and Terry's office. We are heading downstairs. The kids stuff comes Tuesday.Thats it from here

Enjoy the day
Tomo

Good morning Curt, Larry, ACLTom, Jerry, Karl, Rick, Mike, Philip, TomO and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Curt, hope your dad's VA visit goes well.

Larry, hope the errands get done quickly and you can get back to the micro.

ACLTom, glad to hear that dinned was great last night.

Jerry, enjoy the beach if you make in.

Karl, sounds like the post office is trying to give you your moneys worth.

Rick, yup, meeting day is not a very productive day.

Mike, have fun at the bench.

Philip, sounds like your pharmacy adventure was a nightmare  :o

TomO, sounds like you are going to have a full house for awhile.

It's currently 65F and sunny here, I'm starting to really like this weather.  We are supposed to get snow/freezing rain at home this weekend, that should be fun.  I did managed a little bench time last night as I painted the ladders for the fire escapes and started looking a the next building to be completed.  Hopefully I'll get the fire escapes completed tonight and then that building will be done.

Have a great day everyone.
