Howdy folks,

Today I finished connecting the track feeder wires to the power bus beneath the layout.  The accessory bus is in place, too.  The frog juicer connections are next, but not today.  Looking up and installing the wires has not been fun, and I need a rest ;D .

Have fun,

Howdy folks,

Philip, indeed!  Thanks for the comment.

I painted the track with a wash of alcohol and driftwood pigment, followed by A/I.

The ballast ran out before I finished, but I placed an order.

While waiting on the ballast order, I'll switch to the Masonic Lodge build.

Have fun,
mike

Howdy folks,

Rick, Larry, Curt, Jerry, and Philip, thank you for the compliments and encouragement.  :)

Today I started painting the back of the lodge, since it won't be as easily viewed.  I'm still deciding on the final look.

A base coat of camo khaki paint with a black-brown wash was applied before coloring stones.

Random stones were painted using the same colors as the rest of the structures. A layer of pigment was dry-brushed.

I'm trying to keep the color palette compatible with the region's earth color and available stones.

On to the next side...

Have fun,
mike

Howdy folks,

It's time to start planting some structures and creating some scenes.  The depot area will be the first up; after all, workers are required to complete the other structures. ;)

Nice work on the stone wall Mike.  Your off to a great start with placing the buildings.

Mike, that's a good layout for that scene.

Hello Mike, I like the stone coloring on the lodge walls and with some structures next to the nicely ballasted track, your layout is really starting to come together.
