That looks great Mike. Is the checkered floor normal for lodges?

Howdy Curt,

Indeed, the checkered floor is symbolic in the Masonic Lodge.  It is emblematic of human life, checkered with good and evil.

Thanks for your question.

Have fun,
mike

Dave, Thanks.  A fine job you did; it was far more than a stab.  Have fun, mike

Mike, having never been in one of those lodges it's interesting to see what it looks like.
Nice work on the printing and painting.

Thanks Rick.  I hope I can do them justice.  Masons are big on symbolism, and everything has a meaning.  Have fun, mike

Howdy folks,

Kyle, thanks for your motivating comments.

This is a progress update.  The lodge is nearing completion.  The most difficult tasks are complete.

The roof is removable, so I screwed the chimney into the roof and plan to use it as a handle to remove the roof.

The wiring cabinet is glued in place, and all wiring has been tested multiple times. The orange and black wires go through a hole in the main floor.

Here is an overhead view of the furniture glued in place.

Finally, here is a view through the window.

Windows are the next task.  The lodge room is on the second floor, and I haven't decided how to detail the bottom floor.  It's a rabbit hole...

Have fun,
mike

Mike, are you going to do a meeting, or leave this room unpopulated?  (I've seen some cheap seated figure sets in HO, not sure if they're available in O scale.)

Howdy Dave,

Thanks for your question.

I'm afraid that would be too much detail at this point; however, Masons always have supper, so I was thinking of doing the bottom floor with the brothers eating and visiting...

Have fun,
mike
