Mike, Howdy,

What a fantastic looking drilling rig with all the details. Very impressive work my friend.

I really like the look of the layout.

Howdy folks,

Larry, Dave, Tom, Mark, Ron, Philip, and Rick, thank you for your comments and for looking at the build.  It was fun.

Dave, I only have room for one derrick, but that's a great idea.

Have fun,
mike

Howdy folks,

Well, the town constituency was complaining about drunks from the oil derrick, so the town mayor directed the construction of a sheriff's office.  The office will feature two cells in addition to the office.  The sheriff, David Crumpton, was happy to hear that he would not have to hang out at Homer's Place in the future.

The office will be constructed of stone, native to the area, with a terra cotta tile roof.  A front porch will offer shade for the sheriff's afternoon naps.

Here are a couple of drawings in plan view of the front and side. A sample of the stone is included with each diagram.  The stone was printed with an FDM printer and is the same material used for the water tank base, but in a different size.

This promises to be a challenging build due to the hardness of the FDM-printed stone walls. I'm sure it will be fun.

Have fun,

Mike great start and the fact you can print your own stone work makes it even more special. I'll be watching this one as you work along.

Mike, those printed walls look great.
Do you have a small saw to cut the walls?

friscomike

Howdy folks,

Jerry, thank you for your comment.

Curt, thanks for the encouragement.

Dave, thanks for the tip.  I have those bars and plan to use them.

Larry, thanks for following the build.

Rick, thanks for the comment.  Indeed, I plan to use the small table saw to trim the pieces.

Nothing new to report this morning.  Work should begin this afternoon with the saw.

Have fun,
mike
