WOW Mike, the stone walls look superb!
As does the roof.

Howdy Folks,

Rick and Dave, thanks for your comments.

I searched for many Spanish tile roofing solutions and finally decided on this tile from JT Scenery Products.  It comes in a sheet, which I simply cut to size. It comes in a terra cotta color, but I painted it with terra cotta craft paints, AI.  I  picked out a few tiles using a tan and black tint (I saw it in a picture).  I think the tiles are a little small, but it was advertised as O scale.

In West Texas, it is a common roofing material, probably dating back to the days when Mexico owned the state.

Thanks for your post.

Have fun,
mike

WOW!  Mike your really out doing yourself on this one.

Beautiful stonework.  Great job on the framing the porch roof.  Tile is well done.
Couldn't really ask for much more!

Very nice Mike. As a kid my parents bought a house in El Paso made of the fake Adobe brick and I remember the cement between the bricks was a terra cottage color.

Howdy folks,

Jerry and Curt, thank you.

The support posts were made by cutting and scraping a dowel with a Zona saw, then drilling holes and gluing toothpicks into them.  Lastly, the toothpicks were trimmed to represent old tree branches.

Full frontal view.  Still need to add nail holes on the porch structure.

I'm working on signs now.  Then, I'll be doing drybrushing to highlight a few things.

Have fun,

Howdy folks,

Ron, Curt, and Rick, your comments are most appreciated.  Thank you for following the build.

The exterior of the Sheriff's Office is complete.  Oh, wait, I need to add a trumpet vine or two.

The Sheriff is David W. Crumpton, because he, as CEO of the Texas Western Model Railroad Club in Fort Worth, herds a lot of cats.

The first photo is horrible, but I'm too tired to go back upstairs, set up, and reshoot it tonight.  Tomorrow afternoon, I hope to retake it along with the interior.

The three-quarter view I don't show much of.

A full frontal shot of the signs.

I doubt that you will be able to see the interior, but maybe when the lights are on. Next, I'll fire up the 3D printer and try my luck at the sheriff on the front porch.

Have fun,
mike
