It does feel like it's further away but I'm not sure about the green color on the peaks.

Everyone, just a reminder:  It takes this forum software time to process a photo.  So if you don't see the photo right away, wait a couple minutes and then referesh the page.

Thanx Dave, thanx Curt;
The mountain peaks are still done in the basic green just for location, distance and size. ;)  ;)  The finished product will still be mostly a more toned down greenish color with brown tones mixed in.  The peaks aren't that tall only 2-3 thousand feet ::)  ::) , so I'm sure the coverage of mountain grasses and moss is most extensive on them.  There'll also be some rock outcroppings and a few trees. ;D  ;D 8)  8) .

More chalk work and photos to come.  Ya'll come back now y'hear ;)  ;)

Hello Kyle, your backdrop is looking very good. I wish that I had your artistic ability.

Thanx Jeff;

I love working in pastels.  The sky along with the basic contours of the landforms are cheap acryllic craft paints; everything else is done in pastel chalks.

Here's a shot of the whole thing at Grizzly.................

Thanx Larry C.;

I worked a little bit more on the backdrop at Grizzly this morning (Monday); nothing yet at Dilapidated ::) I just havent "seen" what the place is going to look like ::); but it'll come to me.  In the meantime I'll paint in some basic landforms.... 8) - maybe that'll stir the pot....... :D.

I haven't done any clouds yet either ??? they take some 'special touch' to make 'em look just right - so I don't screw around with them till I "see" what they'll be 8) ......here's some shots of the thing so far......hope they meet muster....ya'll stay tuned... more stuff to come 8)  8)  8)  8)  8)  ;D

Thanx Larry C., thanx Curt;

I put some paint on the backdrop at Dilapidated and the 'I Me Mine'. :)  I think it actually makes a somewhat noticeable
difference.  I'll spen a few minutes each day 'gazing at it' to see what 'comes to mind' :o  :o  in terms of the look of the background ::)  ::) -how much rock, how much foliage and trees, where and how much distance to put in the mix etc 8)  8)  8).

Here's some shots of the work........ya'll let me know..and thanx again for stoppin' by....... ;)  ;)
