With no frogs it should be quieter when the weather warms up.  ;)

Nice work you're doing there.

Actually, the lack of frogs will make it noisier, more wheel clicks going over the rail gaps that frogs would otherwise fill.   ::) ??? :)

Actually the only gaps are where the wheels have to cross over the tracks that are perpendicular to the rails being traveled.  I made the gaps only wide enough for the wheel flanges + a "skosh", and they don't go all the way through the rail, only deep enough to allow passage, that keeps the current flowing through the crossing-and the std. gauge is dead rail......... 8)  8)  8)  8)  8) it's also code 100 just like the narrow gauge trackage  ;D  ;)  ;)  8)  8)  8)

Thanx Curt, thanx Larry C*, thanx Mike, thanx Michael, thanx Jerry, thanx Karl, thanx Dave, and thanx Ron;  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;)  ;)  ;) ....what a response  :o  :o  ;D  ;D .....

Ok - I've almost finished with laying the track at Grizzly, no photos yet... :o  :(  >:( ....I have a lot on my plate with 1:1 right now, but I figure to have the thing all done by tomorrow, (Monday) or Tuesday at the latest.... ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D ...I ran out of rail joiners and glue so I just stopped and took a breath ;D  ;D ...Yesterday (Saturday) I did get all the yard trackage done and connected to the loop crossing now it's ready for solder and ballast;  ;) ...I got the loop crossings in and they are  awaiting solder, and ballast  ;D  ;D ...I got 1/2 of the loop done to the same point of completion,  ;D ...and will get on with the rest of the loop (the back side near the wall) and both of the sidings inside the loop (std. guage intchg. & Scavenger Inc.) along with the main line and the yard lead connecting to the main  ;D  ;D  ;)  ;) tomorrow.....then it's feeder time  :o  :o  ;D  ;D  ;D ....at least the main buss and feeders (most of what's needed) are already in place below the  benchwork, so it'll be alot easier to wire it all up....... ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

Thanx again for the wonderful responses, and all who just grabbed a quick peek at the situation....it is very inspiring...... ;D  ;D  ;)  ;) .....all for now ......see ya..... 8)  8)  8)  8)

Thanx Larry C*; and a big howdy and thanx to anyone that stopped by over the last almost 3 weeks :)  :) ....

It's been hectic around the old homestead :o  :o ...lots of 1:1 stuff to get to, Gage had a couple of 'micro' or 'mini' seizures, so there were trips to the Neurologist, we still have blood work and an EEG coming up in March, and Patrice has been a bit 'gimpy' as have I on some days  :o  :o  :o  >:( ...I've done a 'little' bit of work on the RR, and I mean a LITTLE BIT  :(  :( ... here and there.......

I've finally got most of the curved sections in the back soldered at Grizzly ;D ... and the curved trackage in front of the depot is in; ;) .. I also laid out and connected up all the yard trackage inside the loop at Grizzly, it still needs soldering, I haven't yet soldered up the trackage leading to the roundhouse - but I did finalize all the locations of bldgs. and industries in Grizzly.... ;D  ;D , so all the trackage is in it's permanent location, it just needs to be PERMANENTLY ATTACHED and soldered..... ???  ::)  ;D .....

Here's some shots of the place and a track plan for reference...(ya'll know how I love track plans)
It probably doesn't look too much different from the last post, but I've spent a bunch of brain beating and doing & re-doing this area to get it all to fit right..... ???  >:(  ;)

That's about all for now.....I've got a little bit done at Dilapidated also, but nothing worthy of ya'lls time....thanx again for stoppin' by and be safe.......see ya..... 8)  8)  8)  8)
