Very nice Mike.  The weathering does show up better in this picture like Rick said.

mike,

That's a very nice weathered paint finish.

Looking at the car close up, I see that the sides represent boards grooved down the middle, common in these early boxcars. Being able to model such a subtle feature is one of the nice things about laser kits.

Mike, Howdy,

Fantastic looking boxcar with the weathering.  Well done.

Howdy folks,

Philip, Rick, Larry, Jerry, Mike, and Tom, thanks for the comments.

To answer Rick's question about interior loads showing through the open doors, here is a close-up.

Howdy folks,

Curt, thank you for the support.

Rick, thank you for keeping me going.

Jerry, thanks for your encouragement.

Philip,  8) and thanks!

I finished weathering the box cars today.

This is the Mount Blue Models 22' representing an old, beat-up, and weathered boxcar.

The following photo is of the first boxcar I built in On30, an On30IMA product. I added decals and weathered it lightly. (It was in rough shape when BCMC purchased it, so the Buffalo Canyon shops patched it up and gave it a fresh coat of paint.)

Have fun,
mike

p.s., my next rolling stock build may be a unique tank car...

Great job on both cars.  I like the interior details as well.
