Well there is only one building in town that doesn't have any lights and that's the station.

NscaleModule221.jpg

The only building in town that still has no electricity.  It's about time that the power company rectifies this situation.  The station was the first building that was built for the town of Henderson.  At the time that I built it I wasn't planing on adding lights to the building.

As you can see on the underside there is no hole to add lighting to the building.

First thing I had to do was drill a hole in the bottom of the station so a LED can be installed.

The only white LED i had here had a blue hue to it which doesn't look like an incandescent light at all.  In order to correct that I painted the led with clear orange paint.  Once the led was wired and installed I used 5 minute epoxy to hold the LED in place.

Once the 5 minute cured I planted the building.  Here it is with the lights on.

next up will be adding street lamps.  As everyone knows you can never have too many lights.  8)

Thanks for looking in.

Thanks for the comments Jerry, Curt, Larry and Rick.

Yup the lighting adds a lot to the scene.

Jerry, I thing in the future, Henderson will become a side project as I have no plans to do anymore remote work.  15 years working on the road is enough for me.

It's been way too long since I posted a update.  This one is called. . . . . .

A New Home

Since I finished the project in Florida, and I have told my Boss that I was done with working on the road I had to determine what to do with the modules.  The purpose of the modules was to stay active in the hobby. I chose to do them in N scale as the modules would be small enough to box up and be able to travel easily in my vehicle and before I used to model in On30 I modeled in N scale.

I really enjoyed working on the modules so I decided to keep them and work on them as a "side" project while working on my main layout.  Because the total module length is 6ft by 14 inches I would set them up in the crew lounge.  So now that the crew lounge is cleaned up and reorganized so I can use it again, it was time to set up the modules.

The frame that holds the modules put back together.  Fortunately I remembered how the pieces bolted together.  ;D

NscaleModule227.jpgThe modules put together and placed on the stand.

I'm not sure when the next update will be but my thoughts right now is to set aside one evening a week to work on them.  This will give me motivation to continue working on the modules.

Thanks for looking in.
