Good Morning;

Woke up to gray rainy weather, oh well, good day to play on layout. Coffee is hot and donuts available. Hope everyone has a great day. 1910 Power Building. I used it as a model for one I made.

Good morning everyone.

Jim, thanks for the second cup.

Larry, come back later and you'll see the photo.

Need to head back to Bakersfield today to restock food and water.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all,

As Jim mentioned it's rainy and grey here in not so sunny Central Florida, so I skipped my walk this morning.

Got a minor thing to take care of with regards to our Rhine River cruise in June and then I'll hit the workbench.

Have a great one!

Yep, rainy and overcast here today. Nothing else to do but work on the flat iron challenge build.

Have a great day ya'll.

Bob, I'm excited for your river cruise. We had a great time last year. Hope they make you feel welcome this year. We are doing a train-centered trip through Switzerland this summer, with a few days in Venice. My wife and her buddies are going to Wimbledon, so this is turning into a pretty complex mission...I'll meet her in London and we'll fly to Italy. Again, there are some concerns that US international policy is a little uncomfortable right now - so we'll see.

I actually put some track down yesterday - so, it's officially a layout, not just a pile of lumber. I'm shooting for getting a train running this week, even if it's just back and forth...it's the principle.

Oh yeah...I'm not retired, better get moving.

Have a good day all.

Thanks for the coffee, Jim.  I've been to my eye doctor for my annual checkup.  My eyes are dilated, so I'm staying indoors for a while.  I have some chores to do to keep me busy, then I want to try to operate my Cricut using an iPad app.

Raymo

Good morning, while it still is. Sunny and warm 40° here along the banks of the Merrimack this morning. The ice is fast receding from the shady areas of the driveway. Found a long retired Don Mills truck kit on eBay this weekend and won the bid. Hopefully it will be good as it looks. I had only one example of it before and sold off the built version of it thinking I'd be able to buy more.

Good morning, all. The NH seacoast shares Raymo's weather. My driveways have lost their ice, but a good deal of snow has to go before I'll see my lawn.  I've opened both barns' doors to accelerate melting off their roofs.  Rick, it's been 40 years since I visited Bakersfield and the slides aren't scanned yet :(

Chores are done, nice in the attic today so that's where I should go before my late afternoon meetings.

Mornin,' All!

It's a blistering 47 here in the northern mitten, headed (maybe) to 49 today!!!  Boo-YAH!!  Feels like 40, and I'm OK with that!  The melt is beginning to show, although the parking area at the top of the hill is still covered in white.  Yes, I can toss some salt on it, but that will just turn it all to ice, and that has ugly ramifications....  The "Do Nothing" alternative wins for now....

Made some progress on the interior of the HOJo's yesterday, and should be ready to button things up and move on in a day or two.

Make it a great day, All, and stay safe!

A bit further north than James and Raymo, we have the same warm temps, but still a lot of hard ice on my driveway.  I noticed on the back roof (facing north), there's a 5' long icicle.

More work on the Ambroid coach today, I'll try again to paint the trucks.  I'm approaching burnout on this kit (it happens sometimes), so I might put this on the shelf and pick up something different to work on.  Maybe back to Lamson and do another building?

Howdy folks,

Working on 1:1 stuff today.  Maybe some bench time later.  It's bright out and 58F headed to 65F.

Have fun,
