Dale, I think the way you're doing it creates a better random color.
They'll look great once you've got them on the structure.

Howdy Dale,

I agree with Rick, the random colors look good. I'm looking forward to seeing them on the roof.

Have fun,

Dale,

The build is wonderful and I like how you are weathering the shingles. As Rick said, it does give them a more random appearance.

Indeed, a lot of work.  Probably worth it in the end.

Hello Dale, I agree with everyone else. It was a lot of work to color the shingles that way, but I think the end result will be well worth the effort.

Great looking building for sure.

Looking forward to how the shingles look when there on the roof.

Dale very nice looking building and I'm curious about the shingles as well
after they're applied. Keep up the great work.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I appreciate I have started with some shingles finally. Can't even quess how many hours I have into getting them ready. So far I am likinghow it is turning out, but really kust getting started. Hopefully with a couple of evenings work the main roof ahingles will be nothing but a memory.

Howdy Dale,

The shingles look terrific and complement the landing structure. Your technique for the shingles is one I'll copy.

Have fun,

I must say the extra preparation has paid off. They do look perfectly 1/2 lapped and the show is correct with valley's. Something a lot of modelers rush to finish. Have you been watching Norm Abrams?

Hello Dale, the shingles are coming along nicely. The time spent putting in the flashing on the valleys will pay off in the final appearance of the roof.
