Friday is here!  Sunny with hard frost in Michigan.  Big Silver Bullet full of pipe fitters blend, strong stuff for youse guys in da work shop!  I detect a fresh tin of biscuits fresh from Grandma Sweeter's oven and a bowl of her fresh churned butter and a pitcher of chilled butter milk as well.  The cook has a pan of hash browns all nice and steamy, sausage Pattie's and a platter of hot buck wheat pancakes.  Not to cheat the pig, some freshly smoked bacon is ready as well, those hash browns were cooking in the bacon grease. Toast or corn bread is ready.  The ice chest has plenty of dem soda-pop cans as you wish. Red coke cans, blue Pepsi cans and the silver and light cans of Diet varieties...help yourselves. Yes, some OJ for you guys in the vacation state.

We may get up to 500 if the guy from GRap is to be believed...my eyes agree.

Plans not firmed up yet, layout, bench or chores, not necessarily in that order.

Be well all.  Stay safe.

Good Morning Karl and all who follow;

Karl appreciate the big breakfast, you are hired! Coffee in hand the pups sleeping at my feet and the Boss is out doing her dragon boat practicing, life is good.

I've been aol from forum this week so I need to catch up on the goings on. For myself not much modeling this week though I did have the train modeling group I belong to over for a couple hours yesterday. We are all supposed to bring something to work on but ends up a BS session so not much work really happens.

We have friends stuck in Spain as she had a seizure and had to be airlifted from ship they were on to hospital. Not good. She can't keep sodium levels up and they can't get blood pressure down. Hospital is first rate and they are bringing in experts but so far touch and go. She was in ICU for three days and now just one step down. Getting old is a challenge.

Anyway hope everyone here has a great day, we in Florida have perfect weather today so think I will take pups out and enjoy it.

Good luck to your friends in Spain, Jim.  It's good to hear she's getting good treatment in the hospital.

Yesterday was a great spring day.  Today, not so much.  Drizzle and chilly.  The porta-potty for our roof project next week arrived this morning.  Those always remind me of a story when I was on active duty.  We held a field problem with part of the activity happening about 60 miles away from the main base.  We had to provision porta-potties at that site.  One guy said, "We'll just sling-load them underneath Chinooks."  I said, "Uh, no.  Imagine what happens if that strange load gets unstable and the pilot punches it off into some farmer's field, or onto a road."  Sanity prevailed, and we hauled them on flatbeds that normally carried pallets of ammo.   ;D

Good morning, all. I'm sharing Dave and Dan's weather, but they say the drizzle is almost over. Best of luck to your friends, Jim.  Money management and proofreading this morning, layout electric this afternoon and maybe evening.  Flying Yankee Assoc. annual meeting tomorrow.

Morning all.

Hope your friends do well, Jim.

Tough medical week here as well as my granddaughter had post op pericarditis (inflammation and fluid around the heart) and went back into the hospital and is still there with a drain in.  She's doing OK, but until the inflammation and fluid are controlled, she's stuck there.  Tough on her parents but they seem to be holding up well.

My MRI last week showed a meniscus tear, and I have an appointment today to discuss surgery.  Some days it doesn't bother, but yesterday at work wasn't pleasant.  At least my wife is doing great after her second total knee surgery.

No train stuff getting done, though I did run the new engine around the layout without issues.

Nephews wedding tomorrow, my son and his kids were supposed to come today, but one of them has a fever and we're hoping they arrive tomorrow.

Dr Jeff, hope the family's collective health improves rapidly!  Speaking of 'health', Dave Barry is now posting articles on Substack.  This one has some medical content (and a perspective on the geography of Florida that had me laughing out loud for quite a while)  https://davebarry.substack.com/p/tariffs

Morning!

I sure could have gone for a big plate of Flo's Bisquit's and sausage gravy this morning to get the heart pumping. Wife said no. I am not sure what the problem is as we own a defibrillator right there on the shop wall!

Anyways here is todays detail photo.

Keep on Model'n!

Late afternoon all,

Jim, I hope your friend recovers enough to get back to the good ole USA.

Dr. Jeff, I hope your granddaughter recovers soon and your surgery will be an easy one with a smooth recovery.

Hope everyone else is doing well.
