Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast. That makes 2 of us; busting up the truck was the last thing I ever intended to do. Beautiful photo and enjoy the museum.

What's your plans today?

Sun & clouds @ 65 going to 85 in New York. Not sure what's going to happen today so I'll just "wing it" and see what shakes out.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Good morning from a smokeless So. Central Wisconsin. No Air Quality Alerts currently. The AQ # on Tuesday was a 146 which is super unhealthy for all groups! Today the number is 73 and the NWS is calling it FAIR. 68f degrees now on the south deck and 87 with high humidity later.

I didn't realize I never even looked in here on Wednesday. Terry wanted pizza for dinner yesterday. I told her to call her friend in Racine and she was available. Drove 85 miles to pick up the friend and 7 more miles to the best Pizza (IMOO) place I believe in the Midwest for sure. It's as good as or better than even the thin crust pizzas I grew up with in Chicago as a kid.

Instead of dinner the pizza was for lunch as we had to be home for the grandson's Summer League 1st playoff game. The team they played beat them 6-2 a few weeks ago. The grandson on Monday told us they were going to win as he did not want to be a 1 and done team . Or as he describes it, I don't want to be like the Toronto Maple Leaf! His dad is a big Leaf fan so that was a dig! His team could barely blink and they were down 0-2. He got 2 assists to tie the game setting up 2 different teammates. All of a sudden they were a great team. They won 10-3. On to tonight! I did cancel out of a work session Wednesday to go for pizza. I made a great choice.

Rick the 8/5 OPS session was good. It had some unusual glitches that all but 2 guys took in stride. Their complaining continuously opened a few eyes. It turned out it was a WiFi issue with 2 throttles. I was fine but a couple aisles away I heard a few times (who has my train, I don't). A reset of the Digiatrack system didn't work, but a WIFI re-set later did.

I see nothing on the calendar except Terry stuff today and the grandson's playoff game at 8:15 tonight

Enjoy the day

60s going to 80s and it is smoke-less, splitting hairs, LESS smoke but not smoke-FREE with the South breezes today.  Slight chance of a popup rain late in the afternoon.  Back to FL weather over the weekend.

Some errands this morning and then maybe a few moments with the hobby.  Will see how the day goes.

Day 2 of PT went ok but this morning I'm stiff as hell again.  Just have to stick with it.

It sounds like everyone is doing well, keep it up!  Enjoy the day, y'all.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick. Bowling league starts Sept. 5th. I averaged 185 on Tuesday and had only one game in the 200's.

Still no shed time with family here. He leaves tomorrow at noon.

Have a safe day everyone.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and the tasty breakfast.  Hope the Spokane museum is a good one.

Larry, taking things as they come, often results in a relaxing day.  Hope you have some fun.

TomO, glad you were able to operate and got the throttles to work.

Karl, congrats on the successful PT.  I'm sure you'll feel better soon.

How is the rest of the crew?

The day started with bright sunlight, but it is now cloudy.  Rain is not in the forecast.  83F projected for the high.

Yesterday was a bust.  I decided to check the wiring before I painted and ballasted the track.  First, the voltmeter went out, and I thought it was the batteries. After I chased down new batteries, I discovered that was not the problem.  The fuses were good.  It was simply busted.

Next, I tried to locate all the bits for wiring the track to the buses, e.g., Hex Frog Juicer.  Well, I searched for almost two hours.  I couldn't find it anywhere.  I purchased it in 2023, so who knows.  I decided to go for a walk since it was a cool 81°F.  Next, I received a note saying my order of paint was delayed. When I returned, I was exhausted and took a nap.  Nothing got done on the layout.

This morning, I discovered the paint arrived last night, so I painted the lodge.  I remembered I had a voltmeter in the car, so go it.  Walked into the layout room and lo and behold, there was the frog juicer lying on the layout hidden under a package of turnout controls.  LOL.  Glad there are no venomous snakes up here...

So, the day is off to a good start.

Have fun,
mike

My current build is the Oil Derrick and miscellaneous rolling stock .

Karl enjoy the day and hope the PT starts to get better for you.

Tom have fun with the family today.

It will be a beach day with the kids today.

It would appear Mike's house is populated with gremlins!

The LEDs I ordered yesterday are supposed to be delivered today, and my Toy Train Heaven order is due tomorrow.  In the meantime, I think I'll test fit the tools and weather the floors underneath.

Yeah someone help me find my 20 dollars spring loaded tweezers lost in the abyss. MIA for 2 years now..

Stocked up on food and the tooth is fixed. Son's 38th birthday is today.

The weather was 91 yesterday another wave of misery on the way Rick.

I dumped Fusion and plasticity and loaded Freecad. Makes total sense cost wise. Free as a bird !
Worked on the figure again and finally got the shape somewhat correct.

Not much other happening here. Have a great Thursday!

Good afternoon, all. The NH Seacoast has had a pleasant day: light winds, temperatures rising to around 80F. I spent an hour more than I'd expected waiting for the Chevy dealer to service my Bolt.  Then computer stuff & laundry, move tractor & combine over to the shed, take the laundry in and now all of a sudden it's dinner time.  Simple because I'm cooking for myself.  Wife & kid are asleep in Thailand, I'll talk to them this evening.

Rick

Good morning everyone.

Spokane weather: Sunny, with a high near 84.
It will be cooler where I'm heading to today.

Coffee, sodas and OJ are ready.
Crepes with an assortment of fillings are today's breakfast.
I see Curt is here as well so there may be more choices.

Curt, how's the traveling going?

James, with all that getting done it's no wonder time flew.

Greg, good luck with the bid.

Philip, happy belated birthday to your son.

Dave, with those orders showing up you should be busy at the bench.

Jerry, hope to see some pictures.

Mike, amazing how often while looking for things it's right there and we don't see it.

ACLTom, 185 is real good.

Karl, hope the stiffness is less today and the same with the smoke.

TomO, glad the controller issue was solved and hope the smoke is gone.

Larry, anything shake out yesterday?

Ron, what's new?

Dale, hope you are well.

Jim, stop in and let us know what's going on.

Had a good time at the Inland Northwest Rail Museum.
Got lucky and got two of the volunteers to give me a guided tour.
I videoed all of it.
Also got a ride on a 2' mining train.
I'm stocked up with food, water, DEF and fuel.
I stopped to get the tires rotated but there was more than a two hour wait so I'll get that done this morning.
Then a stop at the gym and then heading north.
There's a couple of trails I'm going to hike very near the border of Washington, Idaho and Canada.

My campsite at Hell's Canyon.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick, much appreciated.

Our house guest leaves this morning. It's good to see out of town family and good to see they go home.

Now we can get back to a normal, slower paced life. It's been very hectic since Pam's mom passed 5 weeks ago. Yesterday would have been her 97th birthday.

Have a great day and stay safe everyone.

Good Morning,

Rick thinks for the coffee and crepes; we're getting fancy here. Safe travels heading North. I did
manage to get some time at the bench yesterday.

Tom I agree, family's nice when they arrive but even more so when they leave. I guess we get into a routine with our daily lives and like it that way. Hope yesterday wasn't too sad for Pam. My Dad passed about seven weeks before his 96th birthday.

What'cha doin today.

It's another sunny, many days in a row, day @ 69 with a high of 85 in New York. Going back into the lower 90's first part of next week. Did the usual Friday am errands now maybe some more bench time. Some time outside after lunch.

Have a great day!! Be well, travel safe, and stay safe.
