Rick

Good evening everyone.

I'm doing a hike tomorrow and I'll be out very early and won't post in the AM.

I'll talk to you all again on Monday.

Enjoy your evening and your Sunday.

Larry C

Morning Morning,

Since I'm the first one in the morning coffee and other beverages are all set. Breakfast cheesy scrambled eggs, home fries, crispy bacon and/or pan sausages; dig in.

Thank you all for your concerns, well wishes and prayers for Mr. B. Although he's a cat he's still very much a part of our family. The good news: the steroids are working and the discoloration on his tongue has become smaller. The Vet gave him a 4 week dose and expects it to be gone by 9/2 when he gets rechecked.

What's the plan for today.

It's a sunny 70 with a high of 92 in New York; gonna get toasty again. The NYS Fair starts the 20th and goes through Labor Day which usually marks the end of summer.....already. Have some odds and ends to take care of then hope to finish a tall tree I started yesterday to help cover the seam on the backdrop by the Store.

Have a great day!!!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning  Larry and all others,

Thanks for breakfast Larry, cheesy scrambled eggs are perfect. The extras ain't bad either.

Larry, I've cried more over pet passing than some two legged family members.

In about ten minutes I'll start edging and cutting the grass to beat the heat and rain.

Time to get to it. Oh, Pam and I had a full day yesterday and had a great time.

Hopefully some modeling later after recovering from the yard work.

Have a safe day everyone.

Good morning from a very wet So. Central Wisconsin. Since around 9 Saturday night the rain total in the gauge out front is 4.75"+/-. Possible that by midnight tonight to get up to 9" more. Then this is to continue on till midnight Tuesday per the media experts on Terry's TV and my WeatherChannel app.  Flash flood warnings are in effect. We needed the rain but not quite this much.

Rick another wonderful picture.

Karl, I agree when I was playing with sound files most of the Crews I operate with would have had no idea. I know I don't.

Not sure what will be done today being stuck inside. I know what I'd like but! I spend most of yesterday outside reading so I got through that phase for the weekend. Maybe I can talk myself into something on the layout.

Dinner was a new to Terry and me Mexican place. Took the daughter's family as other than hockey games this week we won't be seeing them. Not as great as the daughter raved about but it was good, big serving portions and the service was exceptional

Other than meeting with the pool contractor at noon the day is open. There are no grocery trips this week as we leave Saturday and we are cleaning up items.

Enjoy the day

Sun, sun and sun are the forecast today with 900HEAT There was rain on the West coast of the state during the night but it all retreated by daylight.  Zero here :P

I had the laptop out and charged and did an update on LokProgrammer software.  Going to make an install the project for this week.  Thanks Zephyr-Jeff for the file # for the SDP40F.  I have a beautiful pair of SDP40F in "foobie" Southern RR Green, one will get sound.  Silent in second.  I'm a damned fool over SOU Green :P
Was hot yesterday.  Saw where the winner of yesterday's second tier race at Watkins Glen took a face plant off of his car in victory lane and was carted off on a stretcher.  You F1 guys have a race today?

Time to get moving, be well all, stay hydrated, use sunscreen.

Good Morning Larry, ACLTom, TomO, Karl and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry, glad to hear Mr. B is doing much better.

ACLTom, Hope you get the grass done before it gets too hot.

TomO, hope you figure out what you will do today.

Karl, Hope the decoder programming goes well, and no F1 race this weekend as it is "summer Break", next race is 29-31 August.

Another hot one here, already 28c (82f) with a heat warning in effect.  No modeling yesterday but I'm hoping today will be different.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning, all. The NH seacoast was cool overnight, hazy sun and headed for 90F today.  I worked on my wheat crop yesterday afternoon, I'll finish cleaning out the A-C 66 combine today after I hang the laundry.  Also a trip to Market Basket, our slightly famous New England food chain.

Tomorrow track work at the Trolley Museum, then Selectmen meet. Model work unlikely before Wednesday.

One of the dogs woke me up about 6:15, and said "I have to go out NOW."  So I took them both down, they did their business, and we all went back to bed.  It was probably 60 or so.  When we officially got back up at 9:00 (it's great to be able to go back to sleep!), the temp was already 75, en route to 88 today.  Sunny, still relatively low humidity.  This week looks like typical August with hot and humid.

Certainly it's true, I strongly prefer dogs over people.  I got into a bit of a heated discussion over on MRH forums, over what I assert is NMRA's -continued- attitude of "only the leadership knows what's good for you."  That's OK, but my association with NMRA will end after my 2nd clinic in Concord next month.  (Which reminds me, I need to start assembling those slides.)  I should get down to the train room and work on the lighting for the machine shop.

Good afternoon folks,

Larry, thank you for opening, the coffee and the eggs.   good luck with the seam.

TomACL, hope the yard work went well, and you can work on trains.

TomO, hope the floods don't find you.

Karl, hope the LOK programming goes well.

Ron, hope you make it to the bench.

James, good luck with the combine cleanup.

Dave, good luck with the lighting.

Jerry, enjoy the rest and the carpenter work.  ;)

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another overcast day, with rain possibly arriving this evening.  High still 83F.  The track is painted and mostly ballasted.  As luck would have it, I ran out of ballast.  :-[  So, I guess I'll start painting the lodge structure.

Have fun,
mike

Morning Gents,

The coffee pot's on as is the usual morning bevy's. Breakfast is fried eggs, your choice, on an English muffin with sharp cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, and hash browns on the side.

What's todays plan.

It's another sunny 62 with a high of 91 in New York. A few errands to run this am then maybe some bench time; working on the store details and I need to create and print up some building signs. A couple of outdoor items to attend to this afternoon.

Be well and stay safe. Have a wonderful day!!!!

Good morning to those that can see the skies, UFO's, Venus or Jupiter. It's so overcast here the huge tree on the hill cannot be seen today from my south deck! It's 69f degrees heading to 83 with 100% humidity now and high 80's later. The walk this morning was a stupid idea but I wanted to do it in fresh air. 2 miles today and that was enough, too humid!

Jerry, it's feels great to have guests but sometimes it's great when they leave

Mike, we are safe from the flooding. I still have way too many acres of property about 2 miles west of the house we are in now. The son in law yesterday was flying the drones to see where our low spots are so when we do start building out there we know where the low water gathering spots are. We got between Saturday night at 9 and Sunday at 1pm just over 5" in my unofficial rain gauge out front. The daughter 2 miles west had over 9". The Milwaukee area got clobbered with more!

Larryc, thanks for the breakfast fill up!

Dave D. I still read the MRH forums maybe twice a week but rarely comment. I was told a few years ago I didn't know sh.. about weathering and graffiti even though I was doing a bang up side job weathering freight cars and diesels. The DCC and NMRA threads are always entertaining before they get locked

I'll head to the post office this morning to ship some packages. I was unable yesterday to pay for labels and ask for a pickup today. The USPS site said I was unauthorized! This is the last of my August commissions. I did start on the September commissions a couple weeks ago. I have 2 of the 14 done but all have some progress. I'd like to get the promised deliveries before 9/15 done by Thursday. I'm fairly confident I can get the 3 more diesels done by Friday morning. Then in those 1st 2 weeks of September the daughter can handle shipping them on the dates the clients ok'd.

Enjoy the day

Good morning folks,

Larry, thanks for opening, coffee, and eggs. Good luck with the 1:1 activities.

TomO, good to hear you are safe from flooding. Good luck with your August commissions.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another overcast and rainy day in the Piedmont.  I'm making brunch for our Daughter, then plan on continuing work on the lodge structure.

Have fun,
mike
