Good morning, all.  Rick, not a lot is new; I spent Monday replacing rail anchors on a stretch of track which tends to creep as the seasons change. Only an experienced track inspector would notice the difference from a passing streetcar, but it needed to be done.  Tuesday was hotter so we worked on machinery; one repair was inside the garage, the other I worked under the tamper's cab roof.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Tasty!  That was one heck of a hike for the RV and you.  ;D

Larry, that's crazy expensive, but it will be worth it to Ellie.

Curt, good luck with the A/C. Safe travels to your Dad.

Dave, that's a funny one.

Jerry, congrats on the wall framing.  Hope you enjoy the beach.

Philip, funny, shopping.

Terry, how's it going?

James, hope you can stay cool.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another overcast day with more rain forecast this afternoon.  Masonic Lodge last night was fantastic.  Today I did accounting for the lodge and visited the bank.  I'm making Indian food for lunch.  Hoping to continue applying mortar to the lodge structure this afternoon.

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, assorted. donuts, OJ, and soda.

Starting out slow here. I fed all the starving beasties while MOH slept in. Today is pool work. It has a slight green tint :(. I think later MOH wants to go to Costco.$$$.

Yesterday I did a couple of small projects in Dad's room while he is still gone (he likes to supervise >:().

Terry The kit from K.I.R. is a small one. I want to see if I want to order a large one.

That's all I have today.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning Gents,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast this morning. Yup Dad's like to supervise and tell you how it should be done; it's a Dad thing. From what I've heard KIR's kits are pretty good but I guess time will tell. Hope Cosco doesn't break the bank.

What are your plans for the day.

It's currently 70 with a high of 85 in New York with am rain. Today marks 1 month since I preordered Brett's new kit and haven't heard word one about payment so looks like it'll be awhile yet. Been messing with the layout on and off so maybe more of that today.

Have a good one!!!! Be well and stay safe.

Morning Curt, Larry and others,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. Donut and OJ for me this morning.

Well, Pam and I finally finished all the estate stuff for her mom. Everything is now settled with the exception of small doctor bills filtering in. More importantly, it was all done without the help of an attorney.

I'm in the train shed now working on moving the program track over near/next to the command station. I'll add this to the layout thread once the caboose marker lights are finished.

Have a safe and happy day everyone.

Yesterday our hydrangeas looked terrible, so I finally dug out the sprinkler and hose, and spent time unkinking the hose.  I turned it on, and sure enough, 10 minutes later a thunderstorm rolled through...

Back to the train room to see if I can make progress on the lighting...

Sunny and pleasant this morning in lower Michigan.  Heat coming back in force for tomorrow thru the weekend.  We may have some smoke later as the weather shifts.  Thanks... :'(

I worked on some ground cover/ballast on a section of the layout.  Maybe more today.

A fellow from the Yankee Dabbler DCC shop called meTuesday and advised that the sound file # I gave him to program was for an older series of Loksound decoders so he called ESU and asked for a current file and they then gave him the file# and all the settings so the decoder is custom set for the Athearn SDP40F outputs.  I was impressed with that initiative and service for no addition charge.  So Shout out to Yankee Dabbler! and ESU/Loksound.

A day off from PT today ;) not sure how much it's helping but I'm plugging away.  I still have "homework" to do twice today.

Time to roll out a pot of coffee for the Doll, we're out of her custom Michigan Maple blend so at least I don't have to grind beans today.  The special stuff is from a coffee brewer in Grand Rapids and sure does smell good.  Never had a coffee jones myself, but enjoy the scent of good coffee.

Everyone have a fine day.

Good morning folks,

Curt, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast.  Good luck with the green tinge.  I hear those dollars jumping from your wallet at the mention of Costco.

Larry, good luck receiving the kit. Working more on the layout is good!

TomACL, congrats on the estate completion. I'm enjoying your caboose thread.

Dave, I think that is a rule I learned, sort of like buying a part because you can't find the one you bought before. Of course, you find it the day the new part arrives.  Good luck with the lighting.

Karl, great service indeed. Congrats on the new diesel.

How is the rest of the gang?

It's another cloudy day with a high forecast of 90°F. I didn't accomplish anything upstairs yesterday; I was super tired after lunch.

Our son is visiting from Washington State over the weekend to celebrate SIL's retirement after 26 years with the fire department.  He started his second career with the National Park Service as fire marshal for the southeast region. It sounds like a lot of fun.

Have fun,
mike

Good morning everyone.

Spokane weather: Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Any pictures from the trip?

Mike, have fun with your son when he arrives.

ACLTom, congratulations on getting the paperwork done.

Dave, maybe next time wash the car.
Doesn't that always make it rain?

Larry, used to be you'd have to wait more than a year to get a kit from Brett.

Greg, hope that hurricane misses landfall.

Terry, good to hear from you and good news on the layout progress.

James, hope that track creep was fixed for good.

Karl, nice shot of the bucks.
The smell of coffee is right up there with bacon.

Philip, I'm sure you'll get Freecad figured out soon.

Jerry, keep sawing and hammering away on those walls.

I have nothing planned for today.
I have to hang around town for a few days waiting for mail.  :P
