Good Morning,

OK. The morning beverages are set. Breakfast is assorted muffins with homemade butter; if you're is inclined.

Rick enjoy your hike and be safe.

Tom sorry to hear about your legs; hope the stinging goes away soon.

What's the plan?

It's a sunny 53 with a high of 83 in New York. Managed to get some of the porch painted yesterday and will whack away at it again today. Can't work the way I used to. Other than that not much else going on here. I'm waiting for a few scenery items to show up for my layout.

Have a great day!! Be well and stay safe.

Heavy haze but sunshine 8)  this morning, temp in 60s already going to 80-850 depending on the smoke. Will likely be our warmest day so far this year. Rain tonight and tomorrow, maybe an inch or two and some local flooding ::) .  USUALLY not a bother here. Aurora chances were high last night but the haze was too...hazy

The Doll's youngest and hubby and grand-daughter, daughter of the other girl came over with  ;D  ;D SMILES and FireHouse Subs late in the afternoon.  Much needed boost to the Doll's well being that has been bruised lately.

Captured another wildlife intruder overnight,  removal tasks shortly.  I found a QC issue, assembly error that lead to the prior failure.

I spent a couple hours on the layout addition I'm engaged in, more like married to ::)  wiring a 16' extension.

Be well all.  Good luck Tom with the recovery.  One of the many adventures with my mother in her 90s and extensive skin issues requiring facial plastic surgery due to her antipathy to the medical profession causing extensive repair due to her procrastination.  Made 97 yrs... ::)

Enough for now.

BE Well all

Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening Rick. Enjoy your hike.

Larry thanks for breakfast # 1.

Tom I hope your legs feel better quickly.

Today for breakfast is bare bones. I have coffee, cereal, OJ, and soda.

Slept poorly because I couldn't get comfortable, in fact I was too tired to get up and walk this morning. :-\

Yesterday SIL came over and we now have an operating pool. ;D The downside is while the pump runs I need to clean the filter about every 2 hours until the water is clear enough for the vacuum.

Yesterday all I accomplished in the train room was spraying tar paper flat black for the side roof. After that the last thing to complete in the instructions are doing 3 guide wires for the smoke stack that goes through the side roof.

Well I've yapped enough.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all.

Tom, I hope your pain subsides.

Warmer weather bring a lukewarm AC in the Jeep and van. Four cans of freon solved that problem.

I'm pouring concrete again. Down to 11 bags. Yard is looking shabby, just maybe in the late evening I'll mow.

Have a great Tuesday!

Good morning Rick, ACLTom, Larry, Karl, Curt, Philip and the rest of the crew that drops in later.

Thanks for the coffee and breakfast Larry.

Rick, enjoy your hike.

Tom, got your Pm, looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday.

Karl, looks like you got the trap issues all worked out.

Curt, have you figured out what your building next?

Philip, go easy on the concrete work.

Currently 78F and hazy here.  No modeling last night as I had to spend some time cancelling services and sighing paperwork to get out of the lease.  Hopefully tonight I can finish the drugstore build.

Have a great day everyone.

Here's another plumeria in the yard.

Ron, it will be the SW Brass and Iron Foundry, but first I need a major clean-up in the train room and exercise the layout.

Ron, change in the contract situation?   Does this mean you won't have to spend the summer in Florida?

Good afternoon folks,

Rick, thanks for opening.  Hope your hike was successful.

No breakfast here, but I'll make supper.  Assorted soft drinks, chianti, garlic bread, Caesar salad, and chicken parmesan are on the table.  Help yourself.

TomACL, hope your legs heal quickly.

Larry, congrats on the porch painting.

Karl, wiring, ugh.

Curt, glad the pool issues are behind you, just in time it would seem. Nice flower shot.

Philip, sounds like the concrete work is progressing well.  Good luck on the last 11 bags.

Ron, congrats on the drugstore build.

Dave, hope your day went well.

Jerry, hope you enjoyed the boardwalk.  How did Izzy do with all the people?

Dale, glad you got the wood pile burned in the spring.

How is the rest of the gang?

It is a hazy day in Georgia and warming a bit to 85F.  I just checked Texas and the forecast is 95F.  Guess it is spring there.

The water tower remains unfinished.  I'll have to wait until I return.  A road trip to Texas for a visit at the Texas Western in Fort Worth and an operating session or two before heading to Oklahoma to see my Sisters.  I'll return to Rio Vista, TX to attend Masonic Lodge in my home lodge, then head east and home.  I'll check in when I can.

Have fun,
mike

Good evening everyone.

I just posted an update in my Henderson thread so I thought I would shop in seeing as I was in the area.

Curt, that is a great photo of the plumeria.

Dave, yup I'm going to miss the Florida summer.  I was given a new assignment at the head office where my help is needed in updating and bringing back a division of the company that needs help.

Have a great evening everyone.

Good Morning All,

Today for breakfast is coffee, cereal, bagels, yogurt, OJ, and soda.

Started out the day with a walk at 74F and quite humid. Yesterday I finished the kit. It is ready for mounting on the wall. I'll take final photos later today. There are a huge amount of wood strips left over from the kit along with other construction items.

Today I have floor cleaning, pool filter cleaning and I will start cleaning up the workbench area.

Ron I know you are heartbroken about missing a FL summer, but it will be good to get home I'm sure.

Tom I hope your legs feel better.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Curt. I'll check out the build later this afternoon.

Legs are doing fine. The  right leg surgical site still stings but I'm walking.  ;D Today I'll spend a few hours trimming the shrubs around the house. Seems like the yard work is never done.

Have a great day everyone and stay safe.

Good morning everyone.

Prairie City weather: Sunny, with a high near 76.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
The mines not going on the layout?
Excellent photo.

ACLTom, glad the legs are feeling better.

Ron, your interior detailing looks excellent.

Mike, have fun and safe travels.

Philip, that's a lot of concreting.

Karl, congratulations on the subs and capture.

Larry, porch finished?

TomO, what's going on in LV?

Jerry, where are you?

Dale, Dave, Greg and everyone else looking in hope you are all well.

Good news/bad news on yesterday's hike.
Hike was supposed to be 6.1 miles out with 3,200' of climbing to Strawberry Mountain and then back down again.
Made it 2 1/2 miles and the entire trail was covered in frozen s#@! so I turned around.
Good news was seeing the Strawberry Lake.
No wind and the lake was smooth as glass which reflected the surrounding mountains perfectly.
Haven't worked on those pictures yet.
Today's plan is to make it to Idaho.

And a photo of my view at sunset yesterday looking at the Strawberry Mountains.

Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Nice to hear the kit's finished. When I did the Wood Cutter's Shack kit I had some materials left over as well; looks like Brett gives some extra so you don't come up short.

Tom glad the legs are feeling better but don't overdue on the yard work.

Rick it's a shame you could't do the entire hike but safety first. Yes the porch is just about done. Today I'll paint the steps and the small lower deck.

What's your plans for the day.

It's a sunny, 3 days in a row, 73 with a high of 90 in New York; looks like a "summer day". Had my SUV inspected yesterday. Ended up having ALL new brakes installed, rear wiper blade and arm replaced, and O-L-F done; my wallet is still screaming $$$$$$; but it had to be done. Probably no bench time again today.

Have a great day!! Be well.

Clouds, humidity, 700 with  rain steadily marching closer from the West.  It made it to 870 8) sun  and very hazy-windy yesterday.  Today will cool as the rain comes.

I mowed yesterday on the front quadrant of the place.  Also ran the lady to a late afternoon dental appointment. $1k :-[

Indoor plans today.

Everyone enjoy the day, stay safe.
